Why did Republicans agree to this charade? Obama stands in front of them behind a podium lecturing them like some expert professor and they sit there and politely listen like rapt undergraduates. Didn’t they consider the “optics” of this and how it would be exploited by Obama’s friends in the media? No wonder they’re called the Dumb Party.
It is like Glenn Beck said. The Dems have a super majority in both Houses so it really doesn’t matter if they show up or not. It’s the Progressives fighting against the Democrats that is preventing the One from getting his way.
