It was a wandering, disjointed, angry, arrogant, Frankenstein of a speech, cobbled together from every other speech he has given this year.

It sounded like he was reading a third year business student's mid-term paper, full of fluff and popular buzzwords like 'diversity' and 'investment'.

I had to laugh when he stated that Washington was too busy being in campaign mode - he's been in campaign mode since before his campaign.

Yes, it’s a mistake to give this response in a quiet room. And McDonnell is a good speaker. And very entertaining — I remember sitting with him eating crabs at a Frederick fundraiser, and he was telling me that the star in his family was his wife, who was a Redskins cheerleader.

I love all my leaders. And this is the first time in my life I have personally spoken with every one of our statewide officeholders.
