Leading off his show tonight, Mark Levin endorsed former Congressman J. D. Hayworth in the Republican primary race to unseat Senator John McCain of Arizona.
As Mark pointed out, McCain is already "bravely" attacking Hayworth using the government as the weapon.
The anti-Hayworth effort began in earnest Dec. 15, when Grant Woods, the former Arizona attorney general and onetime McCain chief of staff, filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission. Woods argued that Hayworth, who has used his KFYI drive-time program to blast away at McCain as a soft-on-immigration moderate, was essentially getting free airtime to wage a campaign as a de facto candidate.
Ha! Is this suppose to be breakin news after all of Levin’s rants against “spineless” moderates. Arizona seems like a pretty conservative state, I think McCain gets away with being a moderate because of who he is. As long as Hayworth wouldn’t alter the chances of the GOP retaining the seat, I wouldn’t mind seeing him in there. I don’t like many of McCain’s views, especially on coercive measure and campaign finance reform.
Like I said, this doesn’t bother me if Hayworth isn’t upset by some no name Democrat. If that happened, this gamble just wouldn’t have been worth it. Though the situation isn’t necessarily comparable, we need to heed Gingrich’s advice and learn our lesson from the New York 23rd Congressional race.

I started reading about her in early 2008. I totally fell in love with her when I saw her on Beck’s old CNN show... three or four months before McCain picked her.
Which leads to another point... The idea that she would have been nothing without McCain is a crock. She was a rising star, we were all starting to notice her. Without McCain, she would still be running a state she loves with an 80% approval rating, her family would still have their private lives intact, the world would know nothing of Levi Johnston, and Sarah Palin would have a future with limitless potential. And she’d be beholden to no one.
She owes him nothing. If anything, he owes her for saving his sorry behind from an election night drubbing for the ages.

The premise that McCain did Palin any favors needs to be discussed. As far as I’m concerned, it was Palin and her family that made the greatest sacrifice to help McCain in his pursuit for POTUS.
Her work is done.
Exactly right! She was mentioned as a possible running mate for Duncan Hunter almost a year before her selection as VP on that other ticket.
I wonder if Sarah is having second thoughts.
I’m not a wishy-washy supporter......That’s a valid point...I think she really thinks McCain is a good candidate....Is that really what we need to build a true conservative base?.....And I don’t want that kind of judgement in the white house....So you just look the other way because Sarah is beyond reproach......Like Jim Robinson said, no true conservative will support McCain.....Period
And how many of us true conservatives voted for McCain?
And how far did Hunter make it so he could name a VP? Deny it all you want. As much as I loathe McCain, Sarah would still be in Alaska and no where near the national prominence she has now.
If your speaking of the Presidential race I am guilty as charged.....But I had no interest in the race (outside of disgust for Obama) until Palin was announced.....I just wanted to do anything I could to keep Obama out.....Look folks I like Palin, but I don’t think she is the next president....I did at one time.....To coin YOUR phrase “you can live with that”.....Respectfully

With JD in the race, I think that Sarah campaigning for McCain is going to hurt Sarah far more than it is going to help McCain. Not a smart move for her at all, nor for Scott Brown.

Mark Levin is brilliant. Hayworth is a conservative. If I did, he would have my vote.
you make a good point. when considering a vote for a presidential candidate, what kind of judgement they have should be a top priority
