Republican Scott Brown leads Democrat Martha Coakley 48% to 45% in the special Massachusetts US Senate race to replace Senator Ted Kennedy in a telephone survey conducted January 12-14 among 600 likely voters in Massachusetts saying they will definitely vote in the special election on January 19.
Brown leads Coakley 94% to 1% among registered Republicans and he leads 58% to 37% among unenrolled voters. Coakley leads Brown 71% to 20% among registered Democrats. A total of 8% of Democrats and 5% of Republicans remain undecided.
Brown leads 54% to 39% among men while Coakley leads 50% to 44% among women.
Brown leads 52% to 42% among likely voters age 18 to 49 and Coakley leads 47% to 46% among voters 50 and older.
A total of 9% of likely voters say they have already voted by absentee ballot, with Brown leading Coakley 58% to 42%.
Dead Ted will be organizing the dead vote unless it suddenly freezes over down there.
Their stalling won't make any difference, because other Senate Democrats will smell their own defeat in 2010 and 2012 if they go along with the health program. Some Democrat Senators may realize they better vote against the program or their careers are over this year.
Show those women that picture of Brown in Cosmo. As a woman myself, all I can say is: HUNK!
You're having a tough time tonight!
Dave Matthews?
More like Chris Matthews.
Needs more than that. If he doesn’t beat her by 10%, he’ll never be seated.
why Republicans continue to vote absentee (unless they absolutely have to) i just do not get... i m pretty darn sure many absentee ballots are never counted... correctly...
the older voters are probably staying loyal to Ted Kennedy... sick, i know...
well, Negative Nancy, that's what they said about New Jersey... NEW JERSEY!
huh?
probably worth checking before posting, especially in breaking news.
This is the first time I've seen this, and I'm on FR most of my free time.
FR moves like the wind, and articles quickly advance off the front page. Unless you're a retired news junkie who can sit and read FR all day long, you're going to miss some important stories.
I have no problem with important articles being posted multiple times.
” I heard they were having a buy one pair of shoes get twenty pair free at three different shoe stores in Boston. Pass it on!”
Free cigarettes if you can prove you did not vote.
My poor mom is worried to pieces over this... I hope he wins...
Massachusetts Voters, we envy you. With your vote for Scott Brown you are saying No to socialism, No to creeping communism, No to the Healthcare Bill, No to Cap and Tax, No to Amnesty for illegals, No to the Czars, No to diversity, No to affirmative action, No to endless Welfare, No to government takeover of Private Business, No to the carnage wrought by Ted Kennedy, No to Green as its the new Red, No to Card Check, No to Union Control, No to Gun Control, No to expanding bloated Government, No to Taxation without representation, No to more government rules and regulations, No to the Bank Tax, No to gutting our Military, No to Appeasement, No to Tyranny!
When each of you go into the voting booth, know there are 1000 Patriots from across the country behind you saying Hoorah when you vote for Brown!
Citizens of Massachusetts, this is your Concord and Lexington! We are with you on the bridge.
“Its changed again...Brown 53 Coakley 49.5”
Numbers such as these are puzzling. S’pose this means that with an electoral turnout of 102.5% of the voters in MA, polsters anticipate ACORN/SEIU will bring in 2.5% from the boneyard?
Since they admit to be republicans in Ma, I don't really understand how they can be undecided. There are some pretty stark contrasts between the two (sorry, three) candidates.
No. Rasmussen only polls LIKELY voters, which are voters who have voted in the last election. A poll of registered voters is less reliable than a poll of likely voters.
I agree 100%.
On DUmmy Underground they are convinced this a voter revolt for not being “progressive” ENOUGH. If you can believe that.
“There is absolutely NO way that a Republican will be allowed to win this election.... The fix is in....”
I am afraid you are right. With the crooks at ACORN and SEIU mucking things up, we will see Coleman v. Franken redux.
Why people come here to be negative and pessimistic is beyond me.
Being negative is the easiest thing in the world but what does it gain anyone to be that way?
If this country is so corrupt that it is impossible to beat a Democrat hack with a genuine public outpouring for her opponent, maybe it’s time to just leave and go be a beachcomer on an island somewhere.
The fact is, if it can be done in New Jersey - a filthy, criminal place where Zer0 campaigned for Corzine several times - it can be done in Mass. Actually, the two elections have something in common: the NJ electorate found Corzine very unlikeable; the people in MA feel the same way about Coakley.
