Republican Scott Brown leads Democrat Martha Coakley 48% to 45% in the special Massachusetts US Senate race to replace Senator Ted Kennedy in a telephone survey conducted January 12-14 among 600 likely voters in Massachusetts saying they will definitely vote in the special election on January 19.
Brown leads Coakley 94% to 1% among registered Republicans and he leads 58% to 37% among unenrolled voters. Coakley leads Brown 71% to 20% among registered Democrats. A total of 8% of Democrats and 5% of Republicans remain undecided.
Brown leads 54% to 39% among men while Coakley leads 50% to 44% among women.
Brown leads 52% to 42% among likely voters age 18 to 49 and Coakley leads 47% to 46% among voters 50 and older.
A total of 9% of likely voters say they have already voted by absentee ballot, with Brown leading Coakley 58% to 42%.
Dead Ted will be organizing the dead vote unless it suddenly freezes over down there.
Their stalling won't make any difference, because other Senate Democrats will smell their own defeat in 2010 and 2012 if they go along with the health program. Some Democrat Senators may realize they better vote against the program or their careers are over this year.
Show those women that picture of Brown in Cosmo. As a woman myself, all I can say is: HUNK!

why Republicans continue to vote absentee (unless they absolutely have to) i just do not get... i m pretty darn sure many absentee ballots are never counted... correctly...

Numbers such as these are puzzling. S’pose this means that with an electoral turnout of 102.5% of the voters in MA, polsters anticipate ACORN/SEIU will bring in 2.5% from the boneyard?
Since they admit to be republicans in Ma, I don't really understand how they can be undecided. There are some pretty stark contrasts between the two (sorry, three) candidates.
No. Rasmussen only polls LIKELY voters, which are voters who have voted in the last election. A poll of registered voters is less reliable than a poll of likely voters.

I am afraid you are right. With the crooks at ACORN and SEIU mucking things up, we will see Coleman v. Franken redux.
Why people come here to be negative and pessimistic is beyond me.

If this country is so corrupt that it is impossible to beat a Democrat hack with a genuine public outpouring for her opponent, maybe it’s time to just leave and go be a beachcomer on an island somewhere.
The fact is, if it can be done in New Jersey - a filthy, criminal place where Zer0 campaigned for Corzine several times - it can be done in Mass. Actually, the two elections have something in common: the NJ electorate found Corzine very unlikeable; the people in MA feel the same way about Coakley.
