Well, this is bound to stick in someones craw. Pretty much everything Sarah Palin does seems to, so it might as well be a bold pro-life statement that gets her into trouble this time.
She and daughter Bristol are featured on the cover of the latest issue of In Touch Weekly which hits news stands today. I like the simplicity of the mother-daughter message:
Were Glad We Chose Life.

*snicker*
Go Sarah!
There are stark differences between the two sides. Bending over backwards to compromise or to pretend that we're really all saying the same thing, is just helping the other side. It does nothing for us.
She has integrity. She boldly states her position. America is going to be very hungry for someone like that.
Once you get over your fear of the MSM calling you names, it must be really fun to prick them.
Trig Palin being alive is the reason for most of the hatred from liberal women.
They know that they would have killed the little guy, and they know it would have been murder, and they don’t want to think of themselves that way, but, dammit, she’s FORCING them to. To paraphrase Gollum - “they hates her... FOREVER!”
She is making a cultural statement.
I would bet my life that she would rather big making a tidal wave of RETHINKING about trashing little lives growing in the womb as opposed to reveling in outbursts of rage by those who do believe in trashing the lives of little ones.
Sarah wants people to KNOW WHERE SHE STANDS.
It is that kind of courage we have missed so much (except with Reagan and GW!)
To paraphrase (or quote) Ayn Rand: “It’s the hatred of the good for being good”.
I’ll tell you what...The way things have gone in this country for the past year or so, I’m not sure if America DESERVES Sarah Palin..........
I would LOVE to have her though...She would be great for America...
Bristol’s little guy is absolutely adorable!!
Okay, I’m a Sarah supporter, and I admire her forthrightness, standing up for the less defended, etc.. But two things make me uncomfortable with this:
1) that it’s a tacky, celebrity magazine that she’s gracing, and
2) however much Bristol says she’s not having sex again until she’s married, she is here indeed being made a celebrity for her teenage sex and unwed teenage motherhood.
Sometimes the medium is the message and the messenger comes through more strongly than the message.
"we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life."
Not killing your child is not a pro-life credential. If it were a pro-life credential Obama would qualify, seeing how he has two living children. Hillary Clinton would qualify since she has Chelsea.
Framing a supposedly pro-life message in pro-”choice” language such as this does more harm than good.
By “get into trouble” I’m assuming you mean she’ll get negative reaction from the same 15% of the population that would vote for Mao, surrender to the Taliban, and put Rush Limbaugh in jail for sedition....right?
In other words, who give a damn what they say/think?
It sure don’t spell “trouble” to me.
I can see it now the libs are going to go into full attack mode about the Palin family not snuffing out the life of Trig because he has downs.
What the libs don’t realize that today is is Downs children, tomorrow it will be children with minor genetic disorders that are easily survivable like Turners, Kleinfelters, etc.... After that it will be those who may have minor genetic diseases like genetic obesity, or any number of minor but easily treatable disorders.
There are so many people who are celebrated for going into rehab, apologizing, etc., ad nauseum, it's refreshing to see someone who says, "yeah, I messed up, but I didn't compound it with murder."
This story is not news.
And with a court battle looming for Bristol, publicity is the last thing she needs, especially when publicity is one key thing Levi will be attacked for.
“Okay, Im a Sarah supporter, and I admire her forthrightness, standing up for the less defended, etc.. But two things make me uncomfortable with this:
1) that its a tacky, celebrity magazine that shes gracing,”
Have some of the same feeling, but she needs to rehab her image with the readership of these magazines. Remember all the negative stories about her in “People”? The left uses pop culture to attack her, so she needs to (carefully) use that same media to her advantage.
From Jesus, paraphrased:
“They hated Me, so if you follow Me, you will be hated because of Me.”
Yep. "We're glad we chose life" sure is a pro-abort position.
