Tunes For The Troops
**Artist Showcase**
Eithne Patricia Ní Bhraonáin (born 17 May 1961), better known as Enya, is an Irish vocalist, instrumentalist and composer. Her name is sometimes presented in the media as Enya Brennan; Enya is an approximate transliteration of how Eithne is pronounced in the Irish language, her native tongue.
She began her musical career in 1980, when she briefly joined her family band Clannad, before leaving to pursue her solo career. Her album Watermark, which was released in 1988, propelled her to international recognition and Enya became known for her unique sound, which was characterised by voice-layering, folk melodies, synthesised backdrops and ethereal reverberations.
This music is provided for the entertainment of our Troops, Veterans, Allies & their families!
Enjoy the variety of musical selections that the Canteen Deejays have provided throughout the thread. Please ping any DJ with your requests for the Troops.
All music is removed on Monday. Thanks to all the DeeJay's for their time & effort providing entertainment for the Troops!

Hi Kathy,
http://emmettgrayson.avenuehifi.com as usual. Too cold for an old Southern boy to go anywhere tonight. 17 degrees for a high in Nashville today. Of course, that would make me a sissy in Alaska! That’s why I’m here and not there, I reckon.
Best,
Emmett

Thanks Mountain Flower.
Good luck and best wishes to your daughter. I, obviously, have no clue as to her motivation but a term in the service can be a very rewarding and maturing experience. Several folks that I know feel that by enlisting in the service that they had quite an advantage when they went to college and in other pursuits.

For some reason it is slightly out of focus, I took it rather late in the day, about 5pm or so, as the light was fading.
Here is a pic my daughter took Christmas afternoon about 3pm or so.
The street signs show up pretty good here:-)
