Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site
12/11/2009 | Jim Robinson

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site... or so they say... and they might even be right.

We don't go for any of that godless left-wing big government socialist malarkey. And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty.

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.

Every once in a while some group of posters get together and try to bend Free Republic to their will. Now, we tend to be pretty free-wheeling around here and will take a lot of guff and a lot of obnoxious insults from a lot of people, but eventually a breaking point is reached.

For example, when a group of RINO lovers recently banded together to try to force FR to accept an abortionist/gay rights RINO as our presidential candidate, they soon found themselves on the outs.

And a few years ago a group of evolutionists tried to force FR over to their way of thinking and they soon found themselves on the outs.

FR is a pro-God, pro-Creator, pro-Life, pro-Liberty site.

And now we have yet another group of Darwinists trying to have their Darwinist way with us. Well, as I've said before what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger.

Darwin Central has again declared war on FR. They have ping lists and email lists and will try to pull away as many FReepers as they possibly can. So be it. Those who would rather go with Darwin, please go. I sure as hell won't try to stop you.

FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.

We wholeheartedly believe that our unalienable rights are a gift from God our Creator not from man or government. And no man, no government will ever deprive us of same.

Keep your powder dry.

And the purpose of this is...?

A) Career advancement

B) Money

C) Publishing opportunities

D) A rare chance for an aging, hirsute Obama-voting college professor to bed a hot liberal coed

Take your pick

The term I use for PC, because it is truly synonymous but more meaningful is “Cultural Marxism.” It is really the same thing by another name. And it comes out of the Frankfurt School.

Or maybe real science?

Gee whiz, must there be an ulterior motive to everything?

And you wonder why the left calls us wingnuts.

When did we start caring about what the left calls us?

Hey if you meet him first, put in a good word for me also..:O) From what I have read, Jesus preferred sinners and publicans cause the religious of his day were too interesting...He even called (OMG) a tax collector to be an apostle.. God has a sense of humor, there is no other way to explain a duck billed platypus..

Catholics do not consider themselves fundamental christians nor do fundamental Christians consider Catholics FCs. In fact fundamental Christians spend of lot of time telling you what’s wrong with catholicism.

The question is.. Are you a FReeper as defined by the founder or are you a republican?

"Damn, I thought I was on to something new....I realize hair get really confused as we age."

It's Mother Nature. She is the wicked queen with the Magic Mirror, forever asking, "Who is the fairest of them all?"

And the mirror, reflecting on the wisdom of staying in her good graces, always returns the same twisted response.

All of our body parts, down to the very cells, get confused. But we are luckier than most species, measuring out nearly twice the number of heartbeats in our lifespan. That's a more accurate way of comparing large animals and small, you see.

You gotta have heart.

I've always said that horses are good people.

That is not a question for me. How in the world would you expect me to define myself by someone else’s terms. Not that it’s any of your business, but I am a lifelong Repbublican and have even made a living as such. If the “founder” feels I’m not a FReeper so be it. I have also contributed a lot of money to this site; have you. And who are you to ask these question?

The word "ulterior" means beyond what is expressed or implied. That understood, yes, there is an ulterior motive to everything -- especially at university science departments!

And to be called a wingnut by a Leftist is, to me, a grin-inducing badge of honor!

Well....Darwinism is a philosophy wrapped in “science” and has the attributes of a religion. In some respects, they are “fundamentalist”, in a humanist sort of way. :-)

I don’t think God and science are mutually exclusive.

I know with absolute certainty that my God and Science are not mutually exclusive. But what I know is of no value whatsoever to people who are incapable of grasping, or even imagining how that could be possible.

I prefer to argue and persuade without using God or the bible as a crutch.

Removing the church or God from discussions leaves the pervs looking silly; without either a target or ideas. Profanities, name-calling and screaming can only go so far.

AMEN

Finally got to the end WHEW!~

Some of MY OWN observations

I don’t understand why people are offended and think they are unwanted if they don’t 100% agree with Jim’s statement.

Did anyone ask you to take a blood oath to FR? Did anyone ask you to convert? If you feel unwanted I think that is on YOU.

You are free to LEAVE. The point was that the owner has certain fundamental beliefs that will be observed on his site. Many people who visit here are like minded. Visiting here for 10 years or 5 years didn’t BUY you any ownership in FR.

If the owner was a devil worshiper, liberal, convicted felon, maybe you might be uncomfortable associating with that site.

In this case it’s patriotic, conservative, Christian (we aren’t the ones that cut heads off) site.

You might see a religious thread from time to time in the political forum. You did get the memo that you are FORCED to read every word of those didn’t you? I mean did your computer blow up because of it? Why would that bother ANYONE?

We have a large Jewish community here. I see many with those little hats and their quaint religious rules. Am I threatened by them? NO WAY. Are they nice people, YES. Am I worried they might convert me or cut my head off, absolutely NOT.

Objections to Jim’s post are ridiculous. Grow up.

You must be kidding. And "intelligent design" had nothing to do with religion, right? It's pure science.

Pure science, but with serious flaws in its scientific theory. eh?

Even Gould admits it’s “dead” as a theory.
