Obama Pitches Jobs Program, Points Finger at GOP for Economic Mess
Fox News ^ | December 8, 2009 | Peter Barnes, Fox News' Major Garrett and The Associated Press

President Obama used his speech rolling out a stimulus-style jobs program Tuesday to point the finger at Republicans for allegedly facilitating the economic crisis and then foisting it off on his administration to solve.

While praising his own team for pioneering "ambitious" financial reform and "sweeping" economic recovery initiatives, the president took some pointed shots at Republicans who are now blasting the latest package as a spend-crazy "stimulus two" that will drill deeper into the deficit.

"We were forced to take those steps (to jump-start the economy) largely without the help of an opposition party which, unfortunately, after having presided over the decision-making that had led to the crisis, decided to hand it over to others to solve," Obama said, starting his address with a history lesson on the roots of the recession.

Shelf life expired at the inauguration.

Its really a laugh. Jimmah Cahtah started the program of affirmative morthages, It grew under CLinton, was tolerated by Bush on trading by loss of conservative domestic policy so he could posecute the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and is still being pursued by Obama.

Affirmative Action Mortgages caused this whole recession, and traduced our federal bank regulations, sub prime mortagges promoted by leftist bureaucrats in Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and HUD.100% funancing, ARMs, and no requirement that mortgagors even file a tax return with their mortgage application? Who is foolong who here?

Thats the truth of where the responsibility for the recession lies with the left. They own it.

Obama uses Bush to avoid the left's responsibility for the recession. Why di yiou think he is tanking in the polls , Americans have learned the truth!

Lets have a little truth for a change?

Same with Adam...he blamed Eve. Eve blamed the serpent.

I thought Obama used to go to church a lot?

Say, has the president found a church yet? Does he go to church? Or was that ,too, part of the Obama persona force fed to the voters last year?

The graph shows a down trend in the Federal Deficit until Democrats took over Majorities in Congress January 2007, and bet Senator Obama voted for increasing deficit spending starting 2007;

Did anyone hear Bill O’Reilly rating Obama last night?
I thought I heard him say the recession is all Bush’s fault.
Was he serious?
He gave Obama a B for economics.

I was thinking I would stop watching his show after he and Beck thought a 2 sales tax to reduce the debt was a good idea.

After his rating of Obama-I am sure I need to stop watching.

Yeah! The Republicans were in control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate up until the moment of the crash!

Or not... I always forget which one it is...

So, which party was in control of Congress the last several years of the Bush administration? And which party forced lending institutions to provide home loans to those who couldn’t afford them - against the recommendations of Bush et al - which triggered the housing crisis and the resultant failure of the economy?

Have you ever heard anything like this guy?

What might we expect? Hussein Øbama is a full tilt COMMUNIST. He is a puppet to Soros and yes he is THAT stupid.

I know folks around here say he is not but it is my opinion that anyone that comes down on the side of communism does not have a good grasp on reality itself. How could anyone support a dysfunctional political/government system that has a 100% failure record?
