Obama Pitches Jobs Program, Points Finger at GOP for Economic Mess
Fox News ^ | December 8, 2009 | Peter Barnes, Fox News' Major Garrett and The Associated Press

President Obama used his speech rolling out a stimulus-style jobs program Tuesday to point the finger at Republicans for allegedly facilitating the economic crisis and then foisting it off on his administration to solve.

While praising his own team for pioneering "ambitious" financial reform and "sweeping" economic recovery initiatives, the president took some pointed shots at Republicans who are now blasting the latest package as a spend-crazy "stimulus two" that will drill deeper into the deficit.

"We were forced to take those steps (to jump-start the economy) largely without the help of an opposition party which, unfortunately, after having presided over the decision-making that had led to the crisis, decided to hand it over to others to solve," Obama said, starting his address with a history lesson on the roots of the recession.

“Have you ever heard anything like this guy? “

Yup, go to a prison sometimes and listen to the excuses.

Or listen to the typical Hollywood doper - explaining the mess they’ve gotten into.

Or listen to any kid who’s a total looser....

See the trend here?

Have you ever heard anything like this guy?

Yes. He's still singing the same old tune, "Bush's fault."

We've all heard it.

Their incompetence is truly breathtaking, or the dumbcrats really do have an agenda to destroy America.

As other FR posters have said, 0zer0 proves Einstein correct when he said “The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over and expecting different results.”

Porkulus II is just doubling down on a failed policy.

I saw 0zer0’s speech today. 0zer0 talked at length about growing small businesses as the key to overall economic growth. His solution was his offer to small business to cut their capital gains tax. How Republican! But then he goes on and again blames the Repubs for their tax cuts and spending under GWB and how they created the “mess”. Such a hypocrite!

What about the Democratic Congress since '06 ?

This guy is quite the partisan divider, he'd better pray to Allah unemployment goes down in the next 10 months, or he's gonna be Hussein LameDuck.

If the kitchen is too hot for you, just get out of the kitchen and let some one who can handle the job do it.

So much for the ObaMao intelligence...the jobs loss started the minute the commies took over Congress January 3, 2007.

His blame the republicans BS hasn’t been true since the day he started spitting it out on the campaign trail.

Congress has been in Democrat party hands since 2006. Coincidentally, that's when the feces hit the oscillator.

It won't happen. When Barry runs for reelection in ‘12, the terrorist trials will probably be just starting. Bush and Cheney will be the real defendants.

The man is a liar and the man is a joke. Ruining the nation is stressful. He must have nightmares about patriots putting him on trial.

Notice how bad he looked today? Ears stood out even more from his shrinking face. Bags under his eyes and extra plum colored lips.

Not only that. “On March 14, 2008, then Sen. Obama voted in favor of the 2009 budget which authorized $3.1 trillion in federal outlays along with a projected $400 billion deficit. The 51-44 vote that morning was strongly along party lines with only two Republicans saying “Yes.”

When the final conference report was presented to the House on June 5, not one Republican voted for it.

This means the 2009 budget was almost exclusively approved by Democrats, with “Yeas” coming from current President then Sen. Obama, his current Vice President then Sen. Joe Biden, his current Chief of Staff then Rep. Rahm Emanuel, and his current Secretary of State then Sen. Hillary Clinton.

How is this something “inherited by this Administration” when Democrats basically ramrodded the original budget through Congress with virtually no Republican approval — save Bush’s signature, of course — and the highest members of the Obama White House — including the president himself — supported it when they were either in the Senate or the House?

Sadly, Obama-loving media care not to address this inconvenient truth.”

It’s only been a year. By pointing fingers he is pointing out how impotent his administration is. They have both the House and the Senate. They do not need the GOP. What he is saying is that he is a weak president and can’t even get his own party on board.

Yo Jacka&&, congress controls the purse strings and I know that your voters are too stupid to tie their shoes, but don’t be surprised when folks start pointing out that Congress had control for 2 years before you were elected. A DEMOCRATIC MAJORITY CONGRESS.

I have a feeling people are getting tired of the “It’s not my fault” whine. Then again, maybe I have too much optimism in my fellow Americans.
