An inconvenient, and ultimately unavoidable truth.

Now that WaPo finally ran (spun) the story, they will now
say “See? We covered it! See how objective we are?”

Don’t count on seeing any further Climategate stories
from them, however.

Obama will try to sign a treaty in Copenhagen...

For the, at least, hundredth time, -12nobama will NOT "sign a treaty in Copenhagen." He can't. The only way he can sign a treaty is if it is first ratified by a 2/3 vote in Congress. And that ain't gonna happen.

nobama does not need to go to Copenhagen. But he'll waste a whole bunch of taxpayers dollars getting his arrogant, narcissistic self flown over there.

From the last line of the article:

“If the objective of conservative media monitors is simply to open a space that forces liberals into a debate, this is a sign of success”.

When Tim Graham, director of the MRC, and Newsbusters view this event as a sign of success, I tend to be receptive to that point of view. True is not like a “Wapo admits the global warming is a hoax” headline but we skeptics have been so beleaguered for so long, we take our victories as they come.

NOW maybe my Dad will listen. If it isn’t in the Post, it didn’t happen at all, and if they reported it, it must be true. He’s just been laughing this off as internet rumors.

Is the Washington Post known as a more conservative paper or is it a moonbat publication?

It's the DC version of the New York Times - once a great paper, now misusing its reputation to give credibility to its leftist ideology.

The networks—except for NBC—should follow. Broadcast news sets its direction each day by the New York Times and Washington Post.

Between the Wash Post and the BBC, the deliberate blinders on the MSM/DBM are being ripped off!!!

I sincerely hope this continues until all the fuzzy thinking is completely ripped off the EnvironMental Movement in general!!!

You are right, it is speculation on my part.

But if I was viewing our ‘speculations’ as an independent observer, I would weight mine more (not being egoist here at all) because the WaPo article is a sham and distorts the controversy whereas the minister’s tantrum is political and made semse from the left’s point of view.

Yes, I see that as well. It is expected backpedalling on the part of the Left. They also started to spout “Ocean Acidification” and so on.

There’s not much question that environmental deterioration occurs from human activity in general such as the health of certain coral reefs. But policies can be targeted to identify solutions.

As Newt Gingrich ineptly tried to get us to join environmental causes, we should be proactive to environmental concerns. But as you seem aware, the Left has taken over the environmental movement (which at one time was led by conservatives as responsible stewards) and the Left has politicized it to the extent that it has become a front for controlling the world through tax and regulation.

There is a wonderful exposee in one of the segments of the “Great Global Warming Swindle” that points to the actual forces (actual persons and organizations) behind this environmental fraud and can be used to explain why the media has been dark on this scandal for weeks. I am going to find it and post it.

Aware that I was speculating, I conditioned my surmises with phrases like:

This might well explain ...

He likely got a heads-up...

And, no, I would not take a wager against your interpretation in favor of mine. Let's just wait and see if Mohammed goes to the mountain.

Here is a fascinating headline that just popped up:

India will not sign binding emission cuts-minister

NEW DELHI - India will not accept a legally binding emission cut nor a peak year of carbon emissions at the global climate talks in Copenhagen, Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh said on Thursday. "There is no question of India accepting a legally binding emission reduction cut," he told parliament, laying out India's negotiating position ahead of the December talkshttp://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2401034/posts

Do I recall correctly that one of the stated reasons for postponing the trip was to facilitate the cooperation of China and India? Whatever is going on, I bet Obama wishes he were not going to the party at all not just coming in fashionably late.

The MSM is spinning the initial introduction to this story to hide its true meaning until after Copenhagen and hopefully for the foreseeable future.

Once the initial lie is believed it then has to be disproven so that in the resulting confusion the truth takes longer to be revealed.

The MSM is suddenly giving mention to Climategate because they now realize that Copenhagen will fail. They are trying to cover their butts about why they did not cover Climategate two weeks ago.

Otherwise, they know people will say they missed it.

I know how to couch my assertions but since the lid has been pried off of the Left’s can of poison, I am not in the mood to speculate but to lay claim.

Mohammed will go to Copenhagen. He really is a follower. And he is being led by persons broadly unidentified.

We need to identify and personalize the real forces behind this AGW cabal. And I am ready to take on the Left’s expected counter-volley of “McCarthyism”.

In warfare, when the enemy is in retreat, it is not wise to conclude the battle by speculating that the enemy will not be back (recall Bull Run). Rather, chase the enemy down, kill them and capture them.
