Evolutionists retreating from the arena of science
--snip--
Today, the Darwinian scientific consensus persists within almost every large university and governmental institution. But around the middle of the 20th century an interesting new trend emerged and has since become increasingly established. Evolutionary theorists have been forced, step by step, to steadily retreat from the evidence in the field. Some of the evidences mentioned earlier in this article were demonstrated to be frauds and hoaxes. Other discoveries have been a blow to the straightforward expectations and predictions of evolutionists. Increasingly, they have been forced to tack ad hoc mechanisms onto Darwins theory to accomodate the evidence. Their retreat to unfalsifiable positions is now evident in every arena where they once triumphed. Let us examine how Darwinian theorists have moved from concrete predictions and scientifically observable supporting evidences to metaphysical positions in several key fields of research...

Yes. It comes from a trustworthy source.
“The Bible is absolutely relevant. Genesis is just not a historical document.”
Then just exactly what is it? Do you doubt it’s veracity? You seem to have alot of issues with it...such as your next question:
“Do you think really think Methuselah lived nine hundred and sixty-nine years?”
Methuselah’s geneology is well documented in the Old Testament...why is is so hard to believe someone could live to be that age?
Litterally? Really?
Then tell me about SpongeBob Antichrist popping up out of the sea with 7 heads and 10 horns....
Was Christianity at fault for the burning of supposed witches?
I say no. Just like I say no to the other things. Flawed human beings, in their quest for power and control, subvert and pervert theories and belief systems to their advantage. There is nothing in Marx’s writings that supports the gulag, nor is there anything in Darwin’s writings that support the ethnic cleansing (read: wanton murder) of Jews. Flawed humans, again, in their quest for power and control instituted those things on their own.
I believe that the events of the 20th century that you attribute to the biological theory of Charles Darwin would have happened regardless.
“Really? then why is the entire book of Enoch left out of the bible??”
What? What does this have to do with what I asked you?
I just got done telling you that I subscribe to the traditional historical-gramatical interpretation of scripture, and then I explained to you how it (and therefore me) interprets Genesis. That was and is my answer. It’s not my fault that you are not sufficiently educated in this area to properly formulate yes or no questions with respect to the historical-gramatical interpretation of scripture.
I provided the link to a PAGE. On that page was the answer I provided to you. In case you were too stupid to figure it out, I also included the actual answer I provided to you back in 2008.
For the thinking impaired I NOW provide a link, not just to the relevant page, but your question and my answer. In case you are again not smart enough to figure out how to follow that, I will also cut and paste my answer TO YOU again.
Yet somehow I suspect that you will NOT learn anything from it, and in a few months again you will be saying ‘I don't see how, nobody has explained to me, why wouldn’t a change in chromosome number be detrimental?’.

Chromosomal fusion would not lead to aneuploidy problems.
Aneuploidy like Downs syndrome, Klinefelters, etc are either a loss of an entire chromosome or the gain of an extra copy of a chromosome.
Chromosomal fusion is just a rearrangement of the same genes in 23 packages (x2) rather than 24 packages (x2).
No muss no fuss.
There are even the relics of an unused centromere on Chromosome two and telomeres where the fused chromosomes used to end.
Just a bit of research would answer your questions.

Evolution made the Bible into fairy tales and the rejection of God’s principals mainstream. It gives despots me more cover than they’ve had in a long time (when they could claim divinity). People not fearing God is why they burned witches and why the murdered Jews. Evolution has been great for Satan because of it’s mass appeal. We can’t all claim to be gods. Now from least to greatest, we can murder in the name of perfecting our species.
Is it your contention that sensus plenior has no place when interpreting the Bible???"
Ridicule for Revelation? Why?
Ridicule only in your very small and narrow mind... c’mon give it a shot and posit an answer...
I stand corrected!
Really? then why is the entire book of Enoch left out of the bible??
What? What does this have to do with what I asked you?
E-S, you are touching a very important subject. Our belief in God is entirely based on our "spiritual eyes". Yet we also live in some observable reality, and if we want electricity, nuclear energy, antibiotics, cancer cures et caetera, we also have to use our material eyes, eyes and microscopes. What we see with these material eyes is not reconcilable with literal interpretation of the Bible, and the attempts ('creation science') cannot stand elementary critical scrutiny - you guys just demand that we flush not only biology, but also mathematics, physics, chemistry, geology etc. down the toilet. Now, do you have any SERIOUS suggestion how we can make the world our dominion (Genesis) while locking ourselves out in the purely spiritual reality of Bible and prayer? Mainstream Christianity found a solution (several hundred years ago, actually), but you obviously don't like it. So, offer an alternative.
Allmendream gets like this when he’s feeling threatened or insecure. Tell me, what is he being forced to eat his words over this time?
“The 7 headed beast may be real, but you cant compare the symbolism of Revelation, and Daniel with whats in Genesis.”
Why not? Doesn’t Genesis contain symbolism?
Remember to pray for the lost and misguided whether fellow Freepers or not.
Faith, knowledge, understanding, wisdom, charity (love), etc. are all gifts. Many are blessed with one (perhaps faith) but not all.
Xcamel, for example, does seem to suggest some level of faith ("The Bible is absolutely relevant"). But demonstrates a severe lack of understanding both spiritual and contextual in the juvenile comparison of the Revelation of Jesus Christ with Genesis. The questions about the symbolic references of Christ's Revelation perhaps being purely literal should seem quite silly to those of you who've actually read it to the end of its first chapter. That is where Christ Himself explains essentially "caution: symbolism at work".
Turn the other cheek when appropriate, but recall the Lord's stern admonition about casting pearls before swine. And, no xcamel, He was not literally commanding us to stop throwing our fine jewelry at you.
