I understand most Palin supporters have already handed her the '12 nomination, but a primary can be unpredictable and bruising. My question is, what will you do if for some reason Sarah does not win the '12 pub nomination? Stay home, vote 3rd party or support the nominee (if it is one of todays potential but established candidates)?
This is a "what if" question. If you don't have the capacity to contemplate a Palin primary loss then please find another thread on which to slobber and slander (although I seriously doubt this request will be honored).
What, no opus about how long you’ve been at FR and we should bow to your thread?.....
LOL, he’s been here a lot longer than you!!
Same here. I'm open to canidates other than Palin, as long as long as that other is not Rudy, Mitt, Huck or Paul.
Well if it’s Romney or Huckabee forget it. If its someone else that we might not have heard of that is a Conservative and has a proven record of that, yes i would vote for him
Cry like a little girl, just like I did when Fred Thompson dropped out. After that, I don't know. Depends on the circumstances.
If the Republicans don't want Palin, I guess it depends on who the Republicans do want. If someone like Scazzofava gets nominated, I would need to find a third party. If someone with McCain's appeal gets picked, I will start throwing up and not stop for four years.
If the Democrats win big in 2010, there won't be a country left in 2012, so it won't matter.
Let's assume for a moment that we still have a country left in 2012. If it isn't Palin, give me some possibles. All I want is a conservative who can move the masses. Palin proves wherever she goes that she can. I've listened to her in several venues, and she comes across as both intelligent and sporting a great deal of common sense.
If the Republicans want someone else, let it be someone Palin-like. We can't afford any more milk-toast candidates who think they need to gain the support of the New York Times, CBS or Colin Powell.
You can’t send Obama packing if you sit it out! You’ll give Obama 4 more years!
Seconded.
She may win, but she'll never have a mandate. Her personal philosophy is as foreign to half the country as Obama's is to the other half.
So, are you willing to support the same old tired worn out has beens from 2008, like Romney, Huckabee, Giuliani or Paul? Or God forbid, John McCain?
Not me!
“A Third party will lead to 4 more years of the 0bama dictatorship.”
Perhaps, but not as surely as if the nominee is a RINO. Without the Conservative’s support and enthusiasm a republican cant win... A third party is just “unlikely” to win.
Hence the joke...
best,
vox
I will worry about the 2012 elections once the 2010 elections are behind us.
I’ll vote for the one with the best chance of knocking the Obama out of the whitehouse. Another 4 years of him and it won’t matter much, imo.
But we should concentrate on 2010 to get some supporting cast in DC to help whomever the candidate is in 2012.
“What, no opus about how long youve been at FR and we should bow to your thread?.....”
Where have I done that? Be specific or be called a liar.
1. Opus.
2. Talking at length about how long I’ve been here which makes my opinion superior.
3. Telling people to bow to me because of my length of sevice.
I am not going to allow the media to chose out candidate, I am not saying I’d support her but will be damned if these MSM schmucks are going to get away with it again. They fear her.
I have no idea what Sarah is going to do, or what Republican voters will do. I was fully prepared to do a write in vote Alen Keyes the last time around, until Sarah came onboard. The Republican machine needs to get its act together, and work to avoid another McCain type candidate. They never win. Romney doesn’t stand a chance of winning the primaries, and Huckabee could never win the national election. The best way to evaluate Huckabee’s chances is to see who is pushing him now, the left and the beltway intellectuals. They don’t love him like they loved McCain, but he will do for now.
