I understand most Palin supporters have already handed her the '12 nomination, but a primary can be unpredictable and bruising. My question is, what will you do if for some reason Sarah does not win the '12 pub nomination? Stay home, vote 3rd party or support the nominee (if it is one of todays potential but established candidates)?
This is a "what if" question. If you don't have the capacity to contemplate a Palin primary loss then please find another thread on which to slobber and slander (although I seriously doubt this request will be honored).
2012 is a mirage at this point. And what is the point of this post?
My advice is to seek medical and psychiatric help. Seriously.
You're obsessed with Palin supporters. You can't comprehend why people are rallying around her.
No matter what you say, it's not going to diminish my and others support of her, so there.
So post your vanities and repeat all the lamestream media talking points. Just like her critics, it's having zero effect on her.
To answer your question (which is a hypothetical because for the millionth time, no one knows what Governor Palin is going to do or what the future holds for her) it really depends on who the nominee is. Contrary to your portrayal of Palin supporters as rabid Alaskan wolves who'll have collective nervous breakdowns if she doesn't run or win, we will support the Republican nominee AS LONG AS it's not a flaming RINO like Huckabee, Romney, or Rudy. Yes, I would hold my nose for Pawlenty if he chooses someone like Jim DeMint as his running mate because Obama's agenda must be stopped.
Keep in mind that Palin has already made history and will be talked about and remembered just like Reagan is now in the future.
Unfortunately, I think we have reached a point of no return.
If we don’t get a REAL conservative, who shares Sarah Palin’s perspective, if not Sarah herself, then I just don’t know what I’ll do.
Maybe I can move to the Canadian Maritime. Things are still about 50 or 100 years behind in some of the more remote reaches up there. Don’t mind living without electricity, using an outhouse, hauling water, or bathing out of a big bucket. I’ve done that before. We already heat with wood, including our hot water.
Bob isn't looking for answers to his questions, because they have been repeatedly answered on hundreds of FR threads and throughout the blogosphere.
Like liberals, Bob is psychologically incapable of understanding why people are supporting Palin and why most of them will simply not support any other GOP candidate. The 3rd party/stay home question is a strawman because IMO the independents and working class Democrats that went for Obama will vote for the Republican nominee.
Madame President is going to be, IMHO, the next president of these United States, no matter how she runs....
IMHO
“You got a thread pulled while spouting a holier than thou attitude about it. It was a beer and babes thread. Not exactly G rated, but myself and others did not think it was over the top.”
Oh ya. One of those leering, mysogynistic, soft core porn threads the drooling dirty old men on FR love.
I’m glad it was pulled, it had no place on FR. There are plenty of places you can get that stuff on the internet, why bring here? They’re a blot on FR.
Ain't that the truth.
I wouldn't. I will never vote for a RINO again. I don't consider Pawlenty a RINO, just someone who doesn't articulate sound conservative principles well enough.
But out sack of crap won't bring the 9-11 terrorists here for a civillian trail or close Gitmo.
Anyone who would consider staying at home if a RINO is on the Republican ticket simply is not capable of comprehending the damage that Obama and his socialist allies in Congress can and will wreak on this country.
In order to “stay home” you must implicity assume that whatever damage done to this country by Obama would be reversible at some point in the future. You must also assume that the RINO elected is not much worse than Obama. NEITHER of these assumptions are true.
If you can’t get off your ass and do whatever it takes to get rid of Obama, RINO or not, then you will be partially responsible for the irreversible damage that will be done by the stark raving mad communists now running this country.
Unfortunately, I can.
"Keep in mind that Palin has already made history and will be talked about and remembered just like Reagan is now in the future."
This is the kind of slobbering to which I refer. It's unbecoming a thinking conservative.
If the Republican nominee is an actual conservative, I’ll vote for the (R). If it’s a RINO, I’ll either stay home or write in Palin’s name. Heck, I might just write in her name even if a conservative is on the Republican ticket. I’m in California so my presidential vote won’t matter anyway. My state’s going for the Dem no matter what.
I’m still hoping that she’ll decide to run and will eventually secure the party’s nomination.
Why tea party patriots should support Sarah Palin should she decide to run

She’s a God, Country, Family, small government, no nonsense traditional Christian conservative. She’s an outsider not corrupted by business as usual Washington politics. They hate her. She’s pro defense. An army mom. She’s pro-gun. Hunts, fishes and enjoys the great outdoors. She eats corrupt office holders and wasteful spenders for lunch. She drills for oil. She’s a fighter. A winner!
She’s the exact opposite to Obama in all respects. She’s an American patriot!
In short, she’s exactly what we the grassroots tea party patriots are looking for.

i wont vote for nobody else but sarah— everybody else is all crooks to me- i wont even vote if its not her- we should all stick together and tell the repub’s this-lol
I live in New Jersey and held my nose and voted for Christe. I routinely throw away appeals from the RNC to the point they’ve stopped sending them. Also told the College republicans to take a hike. I’ve no use for Steele and the RNC. It would take a dramatic turn-around on their part to get me to give them a nickel. They’ve got to take their noese out of the ass of the MSM and get out of the Beltway. These clowns and RINOS who think the Tea Parties weren’t about them too they’re seriously mistaken. My friend, along time ago I was a liberal Democrat and I’ve voted republican the last few years. I know how the other side thinks and I can tell you these so-called republicans aren’t too far behind being closet libs. I’m sick of all of them and I’m ready to run the rascals out with a pitchfork, literally.
If a conservative doesn't win the nomination for the GOP, then I will not vote for them. I will vote for whomever wants and actively, through deed and word, seeks out my vote. If that is a third party, then that is who I will vote for. If there is no third party conservative choice, I'll write my own name in if I have to.
But I'm done voting for anyone who takes my vote for granted, done voting with the herd. It accomplishes nothing. If the eight years of Bush didn't teach us that, nothing will.
I am a constructionist first. The Constitution limits the role of government, as our founding fathers knew that power corrupts. There is no provision in the Constitution for a standing army - that power was put into the hands of the states, as, again, our founding fathers knew that it'd be much harder to enforce power without the means to do so. Our founding fathers knew that if the people were unarmed, they would be powerless to fight off oppression.
There is nothing in the Constitution that compels me to listen to the US government, and absolute limits on the government in silencing what I have to say.
We don't need an armed insurrection in this nation, we simply need to do what the founding fathers charged us with doing - take responsibility. Take back the power from the government, and my first step is taking back my power from the GOP.
They want to represent me? They can first represent my views. They want to get elected, they can start by cutting back their own office budgets, they can start by opting out of congressional payola in the form of retirement and health benefits. They can use that enormous salary they get paid each year to buy these things for themselves, if they so desire them. Because who can trust a congressman to tell the federal government to live within it's means when they are unable to manage this feat themselves.
Is there one person I'd prefer or not? At the moment, not really. As I said, I like what Palin’s saying, and dislike that hers is one of the few conservative voices that are emerging from the bubble. So do I presently care if she gets the nomination? Not really - she herself has quite a journey to travel before she'll have earned my vote even in the primary.
It's the end of 2009, oh politicians of the world. You've less than a year before midterms, and almost three years until the next presidential election. Time to start campaigning for my vote, as it's no longer free.
Sure Bob, which explains your multiple vanities asking questions of Palin supporters only to disagree with their answers.
This is the kind of slobbering to which I refer. It's unbecoming a thinking conservative.
Slobbering would be unheaping praise on everything Palin does.
I for one am still skeptical of her stands on global warming, true free market enterprise, and illegal immigration.
But if you don't believe that Palin, in the future, will be remembered in flashbacks at future GOP conventions and future Republican voters then you're smoking crack.
Should Sarah Palin not get the nomination, I’ll vote for another conservative, if there is one.
I’ll not again throw away a vote for another mcloon(or equivalent).
And no amount of whining, name calling, wailing or gnashing of teeth will change that.
Nominate a conservative and there will not be a problem.
I support Sarah and at this point she is probably my first choice but things can change. What will not change is acceptance of Liberals. Do not try and nominate Pawlenty, Huckabee, Romney and tell me they are conservative.
I supported Duncan Hunter then Thompson then Palin in ‘08. I’m flexible. However, I don’t think a conservative VP choice will persuade me to swallow another RINO again on the top of the ticket.
