I understand most Palin supporters have already handed her the '12 nomination, but a primary can be unpredictable and bruising. My question is, what will you do if for some reason Sarah does not win the '12 pub nomination? Stay home, vote 3rd party or support the nominee (if it is one of todays potential but established candidates)?
This is a "what if" question. If you don't have the capacity to contemplate a Palin primary loss then please find another thread on which to slobber and slander (although I seriously doubt this request will be honored).
Shhhhhh!!! Let’s not allow reality to stand in the way of someone making an ass out of themself
Stay home then. But you can’t complain about Obama if you sit at home.
I sincerely hope (but also doubt) that Sarah goes third party even before the primaries, I am done with the Steele and his RNC RINOS. In reality I assume she will run in and win the primary, in which case it’s obvious who I will vote for. If she does not win the primary I hope she goes third party, in which case I will vote for her. If she doesn’t, and the Republicans run a true Conservative (even more unlikely than Sarah going third party) I will vote for the Conservative Republican. If a Republican RINO runs I will either vote third party (I’m sure SOME Conservative will run) or if a Conservative does not run I will vote Obama to help destroy the Republicans. Downticket I will vote nothing but Conservatives, I don’t care what party they are on.

Why on God’s green earth do we allow RINO TROLLS to roam unabated in this forum?!?
Of course I want to get rid of Obama, but really, what is the difference between RomneyCare and ObamaCare, both look the same to me.
It is ‘NOW’. Given 4 years of O, maybe not.
If it is Sarah Palin, I'll vote and happily work for her. If it isn't, but it is another conservative, I'll vote for him (or her). DeMint would be a nice alternative.
There are only three things I will not do:
1). I will not sit idly by while the media tries to determine who they'd like to see as the GOP nominee. Right now, it's Mitt Romney, because the media and Democrats recognize that he's one of them (i.e., a liberal), and would suit them just fine.
2). I will not hold my tongue and jump on the "don't criticize ____" bandwagon. The way to assure we have a strong candidate is through thorough vetting and discussion. I think too many people set aside their very real problems with John McCain early on because he was a veteran and POW and it seemed disrespectful. That, in hindsight, was a serious mistake and cannot be repeated.
3). I will not vote for a RINO. I will not help a liberal get elected. I don't care what letter they have next to their name.
What if she DOESN’T run? Being president might not be the best way to effect the kinds of changes we need. She might be able to inflict more damage on the left by being free to roam about the country, encouraging conservatives and gathering support for Constitutional principles. The way I look at it, the Presidency would be a burden to such a warrior. She stands every chance of being much more effective as a standard-bearer than as an office holder.
Eh I’m not worried about 2012 right now. I’m worried about 2010. Lets get past that first before we start casting lots for ‘12.
I’m sick of people complaining about Obama then voting for Obama light.
I’ll never skip voting but I will not be manipulated.
Let’s assume Obamacare is exactly like Romneycare. How about all the new programs that Obama will push for the next 4 years? No, Obama and Romney are not one and the same.
You just don’t want to get rid of Obama as badly as I do.
I gave you a non answer, so I’d like to clarify within the boundaries of your question:
Romney: No vote.
Huckabee: No vote.
Guliani: Vote against.
Jindal: Vote.
Pawlenty: Don’t know.
Paul: Vote against.
Crist: No vote.
Keyes: If cows learn to fly.
No Democrat party votes. No “staying home,” there are things down ballot (Like McCain) that I need to vote on/against. If I list as “Vote” I will work for the candidate and likely give money. A candidate worth voting for is worth working for.
As an aside, I didn’t see a lot of slobbering in this thread. It would appear one man’s advocacy is another man’s slobbering, so I won’t be insulted by the way you said it....
I’ll vote for the Conservative in the race.
If no Conservative I’ll sit another one out.
Romney, Huckabee & Pawlenty don’t qualify as Conservatives.
Obama Lite is better than Obama. You’re just not sick enough of him.
I got it.
Which is why its at best counterproductive, and provocative at worst, to constantly berate fellow conservatives who are blowing off steam by expressing understandable discontent with the direction of the party.
Exactly. If ever there were a time for a third party in this country it’s now. Both parties are irresponsible, corrupt, power grabbers. And Bob J seems to support the idea that we should continue to prop up irresponsible, corrupt, power grabbers just because they have an “R” next to their name. I am sick of it... and most Americans are as well.
