Free Republic does not and will not support RINOS!! Not now!! Not ever!!
My day after Thanksgiving message | 11/26/200 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 11/26/2009 9:55:25 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Apparently there are still some posters on FR who are fast asleep. Wake up! Dammit! We are in the middle of a conservative rebellion! While you were sleeping we, along with millions of other freedom loving grassroots Americans have participated in hundreds of tea parties all across this great land and fully intend to keep it up until all of America is awake. We are fed up and mad as hell! We grassroots Americans are delivering a message to the ruling class: NO MORE!!

No more big government! No more high taxes! No more government bailouts! No more government takeovers! No government healthcare! No more corruption! No more global baloneyism!!

We're sick and tired of liberals and RINOs running roughshod over our God given Liberty!

We want our country back! We want our freedom back! We want it all back!!

No more socialism!!

Cut the taxes! Cut the spending! Cut the government!

Restore the constitutional limits on government! Restore our freedom!!

And not only no, but HELL NO to liberals and RINOS!!

Free Republic will not support RINOS!! Rudy McRomney, et al, can go straight to hell!!

The strategy is we win, they lose.

Any questions?

Which is what has happened here for a bit. I took a couple of questions seriously, because many of us are like that. We automatically give fellow freepers the benefit of the doubt. This was just stupid. :-p

You're safe from me. I was the leading Bush cheerleader from 2000-2004, saying many of the same things the RINO lovers here have said. But I learned my lesson and became a harsh Bush critic during his final years.

I credit FR for making me more conservative and realizing its principle over party. I live my personal life guided by my principles, to the point of leaving a job I could no longer stomach. Politics should not be any different.

Kudos to you for voting your principles.

Can I make a suggestion? Cedric’s only intention is to disrupt with irrelevant remarks. Why not ignore him? He’s uninterested in thoughtful discussion, so why bother?

It wasn’t stupid really. We can’t tell who’s sincere and who isn’t. We need to do what both of us did....answer questions until we can determine what’s going on. I have met some confused elderly people on here and newbies that are just waking to what’s happening. They really do need answers. I guess the only thing that we can do is look for patterns to determine if someone is “running a play”. And keep answering questions.

Nice Post DollyCali... While I detest the idea of a dem/rino winning ala perot factor, at least we can say we voted based on the desire to reduce govt size, protect our constitution etc.. Congress (and GOP) has LOST SIGHT of that..they don’t care about US, and will continue to grow unless we stop giving them fertilizer new dems/rinos. :-p

He’s already stalking me on another thread. He really enjoys the attention. Why Jim hasn’t zotted him is beyond me. Better freepers have been banished for less.

keep answering questions

That implies you started, a fact not in evidence.

I believe Jim has taken a different tack toward zots. There was a thread a month or so ago by an Ad Mod asking that we get less proactive on calling for zots. I think the intention is to use our knowledge and wit in putting these people in their place instead of seeking zots right off the bat.

I go along with that. Zots are fun, and there are any number of trolls who deserve a zot. But there are also divisive members who we should be able to marginalize. I suspect that’s what’s at play here.

You state (at least I believe you did, perhaps someone else did), that we cannot expect to see Conservatism triumph these days because things have changed.

Conservatism can triumph in most of the country but in some parts of the country like New York, Massachusetts, California in order to win the candidates cannot be as conservative as other parts of the country. For example can you get a Jim DeMint type conservative to win in New York? I will say it is almost impossible.

Ah, must have missed that thread. At least let back some of the old timers who were zotted. I miss Inspector Harry Callahan!!!

Rinos get us nowhere. But the conservative message of self reliance and less government works EVERY time it’s tried.

Also we need to elect people with enough integrity and backbone that when they get to Washington they don't turn into Rinos. Sarah Palin's a person who will NEVER turn into a liberal. Hannity will NEVER turn into a liberal. Either will Ann Coulter. That's what we're looking for - someone who's conservative NOW and will stay that way.

I agree.

This is an enlightened approach which will better FReepers of all parties concerned.

To get him slapped, you only have to prove that he followed you to a thread. That’s an easy thing to do by determining who posted to the thread first. If it happens on 2 separate threads and you posted first, you can prove stalking. Unless the poster is bringing a subject from another thread onto a new thread, then it doesn’t matter, that’s stalking.

Hate to burst any bubbles, but anyone who's been around the block knows that the "Republicans In Name Only" are conservatives (and libertarians). The GOP has never been conservative and never will be. There were insurgencies and conservative figureheads in, oh ... '64-'66 / '78-'82 / '94-'96. But, they always failed and always will. The party is controlled by party hacks and now, neocons. It's a fundamental flaw with democracy.

If you are a true conservative, save yourself the anguish. The GOP is not your salvation. Find solace in your values and family and what few freedoms still (temporarily) remain.

I was directly involved in a zot that may have caused the thread. It was a righteous zot, but on top of a number of others, I suspect it was used to make known Ad Mod’s intentions.

Note: Someone else also responded to the same post you did, at the same time. I have no intention of responding. He and his approach to this forum are of no interest to me. Some people simply don’t warrant our attention.

I believe anything is possible, and the events of NY23 only furthered that belief. Is it an uphill battle? Heck yes. But one worth fighting. And I think the absolutely Marxist policies of Obama will only help the conservative cause. To the other extreme, there is no way apparently ‘lost’ areas like NY, etc. should dictate the direction of this country. Again, NY23 is a great example of the possibilities.

I know that I certainly am giving the National and State Republican Party an earful when they call begging for money. I explain I no longer give them money but individual candidates that are truly conservative. I won’t give them any until we have national Republican leadership that actually has some balls. I will be at my county and precinct meetings letting my voice be heard and I will aid in the campaigns.

I want Conservatives not RINOs and my actions and words will reflect that.
