President Obama seeks $500,000 for ads to rebut Palin
St Louis Examiner ^ | 11.21.09 | Matthew Cook

Posted on 11/21/2009 9:41:35 AM PST by rface

Another e-mail from info@barackobama.com hit my inbox yesterday. The subject: Sarah Palin.

It begins: "Right now, Sarah Palin is on a highly publicized, nationwide book tour, attacking President Obama and his plan for health reform at every turn."

The mail goes on to say "It's dangerous. Remember, this is the person who coined the term "Death Panels" -- and opened the flood gates for months of false attacks by special interests and partisan extremists."

"Whatever lie comes next will be widely covered by the media, then constantly echoed by right-wing attack groups and others who are trying to defeat reform."

"So we're setting a big goal: $500,000 in the next week to help push back against Sarah Palin and her allies.....We need to be prepared. And we're counting on you help. Can you chip in $5?"

So it has come to this: a sitting president soliciting donations for counter-attack ads on a former VP nominee hockey mom that most of the mainstream media rediculed in the last election. If her claims are so outrageous, why bother spending the money to respond? Maybe because a lot of people are listening to her, and many of them might just agree with what she is saying.

The flak is getting heavy. She must be over the target.

I just received the Democrat email (don’t know how I got on the list) soliciting a $5 contribution to fight the evil effects of Palin’s “Going Rogue.

The delightful irony was that I read the email less than 20 minutes after I finished reading “Going Rogue.”

So I fired off this email to the “RatPAC”:

“Your appeal for $5 toward the Democrat-Palin fight so stirred me to action that I decided to multiply it by ten!

I am sending $50 as a first contribution to Sarah Palin’s PAC.

Good job — you are really motivating our base!”

They probably won’t read it, but made me feel better.

She also skirted the “socialist” issue in the BOR interview. I’m surprised; she usually holds nothing back.

The one time I was unhappy with her during the campaign was when an interviewer (I forget who) asked her about American exceptionalism and she didn’t have a straight answer. I can’t remember if the word “exceptionalism” was used, or asking if America is the best country. No straight answer. I don’t think she’d do it again.

We pray for her and her safety ALL THE TIME.

Re: “But he sure has the bowing to other royalty and sucking up to dictators down pat.”

There is even a rumor going around that the Saudi King has sent him a sky blue kneeling rug to match his blue aba in case there is a later full-dress apology and bowing tour.

Maybe he can acquire Monica’s old blue dress and have it made into a unisex kimono for the next trip to Japan.

We all know Democrats don’t get audited. And they only pay their back taxes when they’re going to need to be confirmed by the Senate ...

I feel bad for America's blacks. They could have elected a J.C. Watt or an Alan Keyes, someone who would have brought showers of praise upon America's first black president.

Instead, they bent over and greased their asses for the Democrat's "plantation politics," the soft discrimination of lowered expectations, and elected the worst president in American history.

Maobama is an embarrassment to the country, to his family name, and to the Black Community, for whom it will take generations to live down the shame of this disgusting excuse for a "president."

France ridicules him openly. Russia thinks he's an idiot. China kicks at him like a bully would a naughty dog. And Britain's press doesn't even pretend to respect him any more.

A National Disgrace. An International Embarrassment. Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm! Barack Hussein Obama.

O-B-A-M-A. One Big Assed Mistake, America.

I must have had a brain fart or something but I can’t seem to draw any distinction between Marxism or Communism of which Barry is both.

Those internet contributions will come in a little slower now that ACORN has been publically defrocked. No more funneling federal money to Obama.

The more people learn the less they like about Obama and group. Sarah Palin tells it like it is and people listen.

Never thought I’d see the day that the President of the U.S. would be leading witch hunts against private citizens.

The Dems appear to be very afraid of Sarah Palin.

She's fighting the good fight. Keep going, Sarah! You have lots of support.

There is no distinction between Marxism and communism, as far as I am concern, either. There is a distinction between Marxism and socialism, though. Our country has had socialism for years, and much of Europe is socialist. ObaMao is to the left of socialists.

I will never forget during the campaign his quote, "You can put lipstick on a pig.." and his laughing.

And despite his phony denials he meant it as a slur against Palin. Ironic, considering what he wakes up with each morn.

She has over a million Facebook followers - she should post a note asking for them to donate to $10 to SarahPAC and that would demolish this little effort.

Good. They consider her a threat.

That puts her as the most credible Republican candidate (announced or unannounced) for 2012 to take him on, and if he is not around due to mental breakdown, then take on President Biden and vanquish him, too.
