FoxNews : Sarah Palin's Future lies in TV, hosting a talk show, nothing more ... (vanity)
Posted on 11/21/2009 6:36:59 AM PST by Scythian
This is three days in a row now that guests and the hosts on FoxNews have said her future does not lie in politics, but Television, even now talking about her as a replacement for Oprah. This really ticks me off. These people are so condecending of Sarah, and therefore me.
Have you guys been noticing this. FoxNews is continually telling everyone she is not fit to be president, I say BS ...

I don’t see why Ms. Palin can’t do both...a tv career and become President. It’s plausible. So what’s the big deal?
To: NoGrayZone
They’ve been doing it for awhile. I’m about to give up on Fox News.

I agree, for business, that’s a better source. Shame about Fox News, though.

I'll give them one tiny break on this silliness for one simple reason:
These people, Fox included, think being on TV/being famous/having fans is the closest thing to holiness in the universe.
This is actually something of a compliment, albeit a compliment from the retarded.
Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

This may come as a surprise to you -- there are people who have opinions that differ from yours. Shocking, ain't it??? Three people do not equal a network and I do not get any impression that "FoxNews" is against Sarah Palin. FoxNews is giving her wide exposure and some of the interviews have shown her in a very positive light.
I don't get the exploding head syndrome because Palin is not being worshipped on FoxNews. In fact, some of the blind worship around FR is beginning to exceed ridiculous. I'm not necessarily saying that you are a part of the worship here, but it certainly exists.

Agreed. I have never liked Tucker Carlson. He is a RHINO of the first order.

****Reminded me of how stoopid that little Katie Couric who thinks she’s just so gosh darn cute, how she looked last year while trying to trip up a particular interviewee.**
hi HP;)
I am rethinking why Sarah Palin didn’t come across as polished and prepared in her 2008 TV appearances - IMHO BECAUSE SARAH IS NOT A NARCISSIST!!!!
She was asked to open up about herself and her family - it must have been a burden to expose her family to Greta & other media....but she did it for McCain’s candidacy.
She has a natural and charismatic demeanor in addition to her principles - which makes her a dynamic and threatening opponent to the Democrats.

Well, this might come as a shock to YOU, likewise, but some of us here hold different opinions than yours—and as a rule, don’t beat them soundly about the head and shoulders because of it. I do not bestow sainthood on Sarah Palin, but I do find her refreshing, more honest than most, and certainly someone I would consider for the office of President. Many of us here do. We at least keep an open mind about her, which is more than many on Fox are doing with their current campaign to reduce her status to that of teevee host (yes, Scythian, I’ve noticed it, too).

Don't you think if the liberals had the ULTIMATE gotcha on Sarah Palin, they would have played that card by now? :-)
They don't have anything! So they are trying to nitpick her to pieces, what's that Chinese proverb, "Death by a thousand cuts"? Just like Norah O'Donell's "neener neener" moments browbeating a kid waiting in line for Sarah's book, the liberals are going to continue to make fools of themselves trying to tear down Sarah.
Sarah's plowing right through'em and her momentum is building, day by day by day. Whether or not she runs for president, it doesn't matter. She scares the crap out of liberals, and I'm all for that!! Go, Sarah!! :-)

What really gets to me is Bill O. His ratings for the 19th of nov. with Palin went out of the park. He, the guy that more than once slammed her.Now he has cooked up the BOLD FRESH tour to capitalize on Glenns fame.
WHY do these heros of mine let unheros of mine (New Word ) take advantage of them? That is one thing that has not changed in my 75 years.
To: tndarlin
Tucker is so busy playing a Moderate, it's sickening. He is just a younger version of BOR.
He made some snide remarks on RedEye about Palin and then he started the usual drivel about how both the Left and the Right do the same things, which is BS.
How this guy makes a living doing this stuff is beyond me.

In discussing Sarah’s “fitness” to be President, one only needs to look at the fraud currently holding the office. Sarah is competent in every way he is not—namely she LOVES her country and wants to encourage personal freedom. Her heart is right, his is not.

Get a grip. I didn’t beat anyone and your response is typical of those that orbit Palin’s world. I like her too, but I can hold open the possibility that everyone doesn’t see her in the oval office. I too find her very refreshing and I’d like to see her continue in politics, but I’m growing weary of the constant whining about people who are not Palinbots, and its still 2009.

I agree. For one thing, as tempting as it is, and as much a right as she may have, she has got to learn to rise above personalities and start talking policy. Otherwise she will be dismissed as a lightweight, and a "typical" female. That's not PC, but she has to deal with the reality as it is, not as it should be. No matter whose fault it is, she is already bordering on tabloid territory in some of her remarks. It doesn't matter whose fault it is, when you want the public at large to take you seriously, you must present yourself as a serious person. Don't hand the opposition ammunition, make them clearly be seen as the petty ones. If I were her, I wouldn't make one remark, good or bad, about the whole "Ricky Hollywood" character. Just don't discuss it.

Thank you. We rightly mock those who are fanboys for Hussein, but grown people on the right can’t have honest reservations about Sarah Palin? It doesn’t mean that we don’t think she’s a fine conservative, but a lot of people are that. Can’t people even reserve the right to “wait and see”?
