saw that. amazing thing to me was he thought it was all aabout which party won and not which candidate won. He completely missed the point, not that he would ever admit that.
his argument in effect was about nothing at all to the people that supported Hoffman.

I recall from earlier reports that the official time to count the absentee ballots was today or tomorrow. Does someone have information that some had already been counted?

Yes, but he did it within a much shorter period of time. Inertia and all that. I will keep my fingers crossed on this one, but with the history of the Dems...

That’s probably Tim Johnson in the 2002 Senate race. John Thune was running against him at the time, and he was ahead with almost all of the vote in, but there was an Indian reservation still out that bumped Johnson back up a few hundred. Even though it was likely fraud was in play, Thune chose not to contest it, and ended up beating Daschle in 04.

Unfortunately it IS over. Absentee ballots are the mothers milk of democrat vote fraud. ACORN workers take them home, fill them out and send them back. We found out in Virginia that signatures which “don’t match” are of no concern to democrat state Attorneys General and will NOT disqualify the ballot. Of the 10,000 absentee ballots in NY 23, how many were filled out at local dem campaign headquarters?

Imagine all the ‘green house gasses’ that will be released into the atmosphere by the plane loads of lawyers and ACORN workers flown in during the next 24 hours.

I hope your right but another thread says that Hoffman has to overcome a 3,026 vote deficit with just 5,800 absentee ballots received.

As I understand it, the 10,000 figure is the number of ballots distributed. Not all are going to come back.

Yeah, people don’t seem to understand that the Dem “no” votes were carefully allowed to happen. It’s called political cover for the most vulnerable in 2010.....

Juan Williams went off on Sarah Palin on FNS yesterday, blaming her for loss of the Republican in NY-23.

Why get these people get the point. Without Hoffman, the GOP did not have a chance. Both Owens and Dede were lefties. Dede would have voted for the Health Care bill.

I thought absentee and military votes always heavily favored Republicans...

“Mr. Owens has garnered 68,963 votes, according to the most recent unofficial results in the 11-county district, and leads Mr. Hoffman by 3,176 votes. There are at least 7,178 absentee ballots districtwide that have been received by elections officials and will be opened Tuesday. That count likely will take at least three days.”

The above from Friday.

I guess the numbers are fluid this morning, and maybe Hoffman has something more current if he said he was within 2,000. But it does seem that Tuesday, tomorrow, is the official date to begin counting the absentee ballots, of which 7,178 were returned to election official throughout the district.

This is really interesting. I wonder how far the ‘Rats will push this. I can’t believe they want a close examination of the ballots.

If the first number is correct, that is definitely insurmountable. No way he wins that much of the absentee.

Good Morning, and welcome to 2010. Since you’ve been asleep since 1980, I’ll fill you in on a few things:

We invaded Iraq twice, and stick around there the second time.
Eastern Europe has free-market democracy.
The United States is ruled by an Islamofascist Communist.
This was made possible by a drooling, socialist idiot named George Bush who pretended to a conservative long enough to defeat Vice President Al Gore in 2000, who rescinded his concession speech and fought to steal the election until January, 2001.

Exactly. I can barely believe how corrupt D.C. is. They destroy everything we earn by hard work.

Not true. The Democrats got 220 votes to 215 nays. They needed 218. Flip Cao and subtract Owens, and you still get 218 to 216.
