It won’t come naturally. The left has been highly organized for years and it paid off for them . We need a leader and we need an excellent organization and communication system . Mostly we need to organized ALL the 100s of conservative groups into on massive movement. He the illegal immigrants pulled it off a few years ago . we can’t?

You are absolutely right!! The only way to solve this problem is at the ballot box. Civil unrest is just going to lead to violence and then more laws, especially against gun owners! Our population is asleep at the wheel! They go to bed each night thinking everything is fine and dandy, but things have changed now because you cant trust the news anymore and even though Fox News has 4 million viewers at a time, theres 300 million living here!! Its time to get politically active, or we are in for a rough ride, possibly for the lenght of most of our lives!!! Things may get rougher before they get better, especially with this crowd in Washington!!

I would say, find a way to start denying the Rats in the cities of heat this winter. They can’t have heat if they can’t afford the heating oil. I’d like to see a plan for spiking the price.

Bill didn’t pass with enough votes in the House and they are going to be looking at the statewide race in NJ and VA.
If Pelosi had gotten it passed with 20 votes over the top I would have agreed but it was way too close.
Senators are a different breed then House members. I don’t think most even like Reid. They will sit back and watch to see how people react to this vote on a Saturday night. Baucus is already mad at Reid over Cap and Trade.
It should be interesting to watch the moderates squirm. We need to make sure that people are from the state when they are calling. This mass calling when you are not from their state doesn’t work — they totally ignore it. Another key to calling is to make sure they call their home offices in the state as you are then talking to local aides. Better yet go visit the office if you have a commplaint.

Inhofe and the Republican on the Environmental Committee of Boxer already did that and she passed the bill out of Committee illegally with only Max Baucus voting against her.

I was hoping someone would put up a list of moderate Dems who voted for it especially in more conservative districts. I want to see that list, too, but it probably requires more knowledge than most would have to produce a really complete list. Probably have to wait on some who do that sort of thing for a living. Should be available tomorrow morning somewhere.

Got an plan? Let’s hear it. How many FReepers are willing to go to DC and bring 20 other people with them and park it there for a couple of weeks. I’m game. What’s your plan? We all keep talking about it, let’s get a plan and then do it.

Good luck I hope you’re not too let down when that fails. They didn’t come this far, only to lose. There is nothing they won’t do to install their Commie government. NOTHING!

We've had faxes, phone calls, emails and even tea parties, none of this stopped the bastards. It is past time to quit playing nice. Some people need to realize that nearly winning and defeat are the same damn thing, I'm tired of nearly winning.

The real “hope” lies with states like Texas and any that band with them in disobedience or secession. d.c. will never survive without Texas as they’ll be forced to spread the burden of lost revenue amongst the rest of the states. That will break them.

How about we pick out a small island country in the Caribbean and have all the health care professionals move there and start a thousand clinics and hospitals, and then set up an international travel system to shuttle patients all to the islands?....
Cruise ships. I know doctors who've talked about it. I also know people who go to South America for medical/dental procedures now, as even with the travel costs, it is still 1/2 the price of what it would cost in the US.

1. Polls have been against Obamacare from the beginning, so the question of whether this vote suggests a mandate is moot. The partisan/bipartisan nature of the bill is also irrelevant because Democrats and Republicans alike have made those words completely meaningless in the first place.
2. How is it best for the senate to delay the bill? Even if Reid can't force a vote in the senate 30 minutes before midnight on a Saturday, you haven't explained to me how or why the Dem leadership will slow down the bill now when Pelosi was able to force a weekend vote on a week-old bill. Reid has already hinted at using budget reconciliation to avoid a filibuster. You're counting on the senate "debate" (hopefully it'll be an hour longer than the so-called house "debate") to stop a government power grabs for a change? You're whistling in the dark!
3. See 2. You're counting on Lieberman? God help us.
4. Reid is arrogant as hell and voting him out will not be easy, regardless of what the polls say. If Democrats in general were worried just about what the polls said and the results of the last few elections, Obamacare would be dead by now. It isn't just alive and healthy, it's one vote away from becoming law. After that, it will be too late.
You may be a physician and no doubt a good one, but this is politics, not medicine.

Regarding Cao: His Catholicism may have been a factor.
I as a Catholic paid close attention to his remarks upon his election, wherein he expressed solidarity with Church positions and a fidelity to its teachings.
And then the USCCB (Bishops) ran an aggressive campaign last week, directing inserts be placed in all church bulletins across the country, to let Catholics know that the Pelosi bill contained abortion funding, and that all Catholics were expected to oppose it.
I think it possible that Cao may have decided that, since the Stupak Ammendment was finally included, removing the abortion funding, that he was duty-bound to go along with it. I as a director of a pro-life organization and a Catholic, see the danger of the Bishops opposing this bill solely on abortion grounds. It gives the appearance that, when this barrier is removed, the bill gets the green light. I hadn't forseen this.

anyone know who was the last 1-2 persons (ie, #218 and 219) to vote before Cao?
It’s just a curiosity thing on my part...
I saw tons of Dems hugging someone on Cspan when they hit the 218, but I couldn’t see who it was...
