Alec Baldwin Sees Racism In GOP Stars
politico.com ^ | Oct. 19, 2009

On HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher" Friday night, host Bill Maher posed a simple question to his panel (which included Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley, actor Alec Baldwin and MSNBC's Chris Matthews): "Is Rush Limbaugh a racist?"

"I think you need to always distinguish the rank and file of the Republican Party and conservatives and voters from their media representation and media stars and I believe that the people who are in the media and prominent in the media in the conservative community, speaking on behalf of the Republican Party, have a very clear racist stripe through their commentary, consistently. Not just Limbaugh but all of those people. But I don't think that their rank and file Republicans are like that," Baldwin said.

O'Malley declined to call Limbaugh a racist but said, "He certainly says lots of insensitive things."

Matthews said: "You wanna know what he does that's different than other people? Because ever since sports opened up in the early 1950s, when baseball opened up to [Jackie] Robinson and even the NBA opened up and all the sports opened up to race and African-American athletes began to deal really well in sports — dominate in some cases — we've sort of made a decision not to talk about race in sports. You don't talk about it. ... You don't talk about ethnicity. You don't say he's black or white. It's sort of a deal we have. We don't talk about it. We judge people by performance, by batting averages, by touchdowns.

When he started talking about the Crips and the Bloods, when he started talking about Donovan McNabb the way he did, he just broke that rule now I'm not saying he's racist, but he broke the rule we've sort of established, which is don't talk about a guy's race when talking about sports. Just drop that part of it. I think that's what he did."

“Racist”.

The accusation made against an opponent when there is no logical argument to counter the opponent’s ideas.

In the current political climate, the accusation of “racist” should be taken as a complement.

Does anyone really care what that Hollywood talking head has to say?

Or for that matter, Bill Maher or Chris Matthews?

I think people are tired of the race baiting racists like Baldwin. Think about it the Democrats were always for separate, equal was just a way to keep it as such and that's were they stand today. Every group has and identity standing against whites and more specifically white males. What better way to keep people separated than by throwing them into an identity group against a supposed common enemy. But I think its wearing thin on people today, if the “groups” get their heads out their collective arses the dream of oligarchic governance will die.

“Mr.Baldwin’s ratings are down considerably (30 Rock)”

Not surprising. The new episode on Thursday stunk. There are alot of no-talents passing for comedy writers these days....

Maher, Baldwin and co. will be demoralized when they realize the expiration date on their race card was Jan.’09. On a lighter note, they don’t seem to mind that war thingy that nobody is talking about so much anymore.

Crips and Bloods?

Hand signals captured on videotape are once again being scrutinized around the NFL. Only this time, it’s not the New England Patriots studying them for a competitive advantage, but league officials in search of a more sinister message.

The NFL, concerned that some players might celebrate by flashing the hand signals of street gangs, has hired experts to examine game tapes and identify the gestures.

“There have been some suspected things we’ve seen,” said Milt Ahlerich, the league’s vice president of security. “When we see it, we quietly jump on it immediately, directly with the team and the player or employee involved to cease and desist. Period.”

Ahlerich says the league has long warned its players about the influence of gangs and other forms of organized crime, but that those admonishments have intensified since the 2007 killing of Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams, who was gunned down after an altercation involving known gang members.

The issue of athletes flashing signs gained national attention in April when Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics was fined $25,000 by the NBA for making “menacing gestures” as he walked toward the Atlanta Hawks’ bench during a game.

The simple equation is that if a Black, Hispanic, Asian, Gay or female is over-represented empirically in a negative category (see jail/crime, poverty, disease, blight) the media and PC crowd IGNORE, BLAME or JUSTIFY it...If minorities are over-represented and others are minimized (see Obama, the NFL) vs. population, the PC crowd crows and praises that...

AA is true racial discrimination, but to the PC Liberal “just desserts” for the Anglo who keeps the minority down.

The collective brain power assembled in that Bill Mahr show, including the audience, would have trouble in pouring water out of a boot with the instructions clearly visible upon the heel! Only in Hollywierd and Washington can these people be paid for such vacuousness. If I were ever to find myself in a Mahr studio audience, SHOOT ME!
