Alec Baldwin Sees Racism In GOP Stars

On HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher" Friday night, host Bill Maher posed a simple question to his panel (which included Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley, actor Alec Baldwin and MSNBC's Chris Matthews): "Is Rush Limbaugh a racist?"

"I think you need to always distinguish the rank and file of the Republican Party and conservatives and voters from their media representation and media stars and I believe that the people who are in the media and prominent in the media in the conservative community, speaking on behalf of the Republican Party, have a very clear racist stripe through their commentary, consistently. Not just Limbaugh but all of those people. But I don't think that their rank and file Republicans are like that," Baldwin said.

O'Malley declined to call Limbaugh a racist but said, "He certainly says lots of insensitive things."

Matthews said: "You wanna know what he does that's different than other people? Because ever since sports opened up in the early 1950s, when baseball opened up to [Jackie] Robinson and even the NBA opened up and all the sports opened up to race and African-American athletes began to deal really well in sports — dominate in some cases — we've sort of made a decision not to talk about race in sports. You don't talk about it. ... You don't talk about ethnicity. You don't say he's black or white. It's sort of a deal we have. We don't talk about it. We judge people by performance, by batting averages, by touchdowns.

When he started talking about the Crips and the Bloods, when he started talking about Donovan McNabb the way he did, he just broke that rule now I'm not saying he's racist, but he broke the rule we've sort of established, which is don't talk about a guy's race when talking about sports. Just drop that part of it. I think that's what he did."

He has a point. Then again we could go on pretending Mcnabb is as good as Brady and Rothlisberger just because of a color that Alec says does not exist.

The definition of racism has become so vague as to potentially be applied to anything or any thought.

We need to start asking these people to define what they mean by racism so that we can “understand and learn.”

They will either refuse or concoct some bull to cover their accusations. Their heads may just explode.

Either way their accusation is defeated.

The Ironic thing is that the left is more racist than anyone else.
They wont let inner city children have vouchers, therefore condemning them to bad education.
They believe in abortion, so black women kill thier unborn.
They pal around with Known racists like Wright, Jackson and others, thereby keeping the races apart.
They created welfare, destroying black families by making a husband and father not needed.
The left have done more damage to race relations than sheet wearing yahoos and skinhead.

Isn’t Alec the father of the year who screeched at his own daughter and called her a pig? I’ll take Rush over an abusive father any day.

Hey, Tingly Boy, you don't GET to have that standard till it's applied in areas where minorities are UNDERrepresented, too. You don't just get to decide that the specific cases that work against your viewpoint are off limits and all the other ones are OK.

Whenever I get into a discussion with an affirmative action supporter, I always ask if they support it in sports. If they say no (which they always do) I refuse to participate, because they've shown themselves to be either stupid, or lying hypocrites. At least I gives them something to think about, if you happen to run into one of the rare liberals who can actually think.

He's right! those evil Republican slaveholders were and are racists. They invented the Jim Crow laws, the KKK, poll taxes and separate schools for whites and blacks.

If it wasn't throught the efforts of those marvelous Democrap Politicians like Linclon and Ike the black community would still be suffering!

SARCASM ALERT!

Walk around ANY college in the USA and you will easily see that race is dripping from virtually everything most liberals do or say —it’s flabberghasting. They speak about it and think about it considerably more than 90% of conservatives.
