Because ever since sports opened up in the early 1950s, when baseball opened up to [Jackie] Robinson and even the NBA opened up and all the sports opened up to race and African-American athletes began to deal really well in sports — dominate in some cases — we've sort of made a decision not to talk about race in sports. You don't talk about it. ... You don't talk about ethnicity. You don't say he's black or white. It's sort of a deal we have. We don't talk about it. We judge people by performance, by batting averages, by touchdowns.

Hey, Tingly Boy, you don't GET to have that standard till it's applied in areas where minorities are UNDERrepresented, too. You don't just get to decide that the specific cases that work against your viewpoint are off limits and all the other ones are OK.

Whenever I get into a discussion with an affirmative action supporter, I always ask if they support it in sports. If they say no (which they always do) I refuse to participate, because they've shown themselves to be either stupid, or lying hypocrites. At least I gives them something to think about, if you happen to run into one of the rare liberals who can actually think.

The simple equation is that if a Black, Hispanic, Asian, Gay or female is over-represented empirically in a negative category (see jail/crime, poverty, disease, blight) the media and PC crowd IGNORE, BLAME or JUSTIFY it...If minorities are over-represented and others are minimized (see Obama, the NFL) vs. population, the PC crowd crows and praises that...

AA is true racial discrimination, but to the PC Liberal “just desserts” for the Anglo who keeps the minority down.

Matthews sounds like an idiot who says “ I don’t notice color”...lol Gee how to marginalize someone - you don’t notice hair or a smile or a light or dark skin tone? How stupid are you then? lol Noticing that someone is black or white doesn’t mean you are a racist, pretending to ignore it does.
