It's just what the primetime cable news lineup needed - another hour-long program tilted toward left-of-center politics with character assassination on conservatives.
CNN Headline News debuted its "The Joy Behar Show" on Sept. 29, which included appearances by lefty comedian Jeanane Garofalo, CNN's Jack Cafferty and actress Bette Midler. Garofalo doubled down on her low regard for conservative 9/12 and tea party protesters, labeling them as racists. Cafferty went after President Barack Obama for his disregard of the carbon footprint his lobbying efforts in Copenhagen for Chicago to host the 2016 Summer Olympics.
However, actress-turned-Vegas entertainer Bette Midler went straight after former CNN Headline News host Glenn Beck. She was prodded by host Joy Behar, who mentioned Beck as someone who is encouraging a breakdown in so-called "political discourse."

Lefty nothing.....Did you hear Bernie Goldberg last night on O'Reilly????
Sheeesh, if he's a freind to our side, who needs enemies.....
...he was totally trying to discredit Beck...
O'Reilly defended Beck quite well.
I was majorly disappointed in Bernie
He doesn't think the Tea Partiers represented a cross section of America!!!....

Bette Midler?
When did she get off the drugs?
And when has she ever said anything that made any sense since she was am adult?

Sounds like symptoms of paranoia and delusions. I hate to laugh at the mentally challenged, but this is absurd.

Wasn't Bette Midler the fat broad telling us about the Bay of Tatonkin? (SP)

I am bummed. First I had to break all my Barbara Streisand albums and now Bette. Why do they have to open their mouths ...- Every media group that's given the finger to the half of the population that's conservative has lost money - newspapers, magazines, "nightly network news", movies, and record companies.
If McDonald's wouldn't serve conservatives, they'd go under ... so would Coke --- don't liberals ever look at the numbers?
Bette - you're a fool.

I’d say the discourse is broken down. The Lib/Socialist/Commies want A, we want Not A. There’s no common ground.

Funny, how that "Speak Truth to Power" has become so
declass now, isn't it?
Kinda like the way The Homeless vanish off the street when the democrats hold office...

Liberal coworker and I were discussing television, movies, etc. We had a long day to work together and little work to be done. An interesting anecdote to the conversation was she started discussing celebrity lives off the screen and I said I didn't follow the tabloid talk. I liked being able to enjoy an artists work. I don't care how many husbands/wives, what paparazzi this/that, or about their personal politics, unless they were trying to use their art for political purposes. She claimed if they were public people than it was all fair game and I responded that it wouldn't be like that if the culture changed their attitude about how they treated their artists. A return to respecting the artist work and leaving what should be their private lives, private as a matter of decorum & politeness.
It is a shame that Bette views it as fit to open her mouth on the world of politics. Will I smash all her records and destroy her movies. No, I own them for the artist she is and acquired them long before this little fray of hers into politics. Will I grace her TV show with watching it, no, she will not be rewarded by me with a ratings blip or a commercial sponser purchase.

I see this Joy Beharheck (whoever the heck she is) is trying to do an Oberlmann, by attacking Beck in order to try and boost her ratings, which will invariably be low.
Never worked for Oberlmann, won't work for Joy Behar either.
Who the heck is Joy Behar anyways?

One of the advantages of our freedom of speech is that it makes it easier to spot the morons, like these two. LOL - Put those words in concrete.

You can always tell who/what is effective by how the left hollars.
Yes, Midler, there may be a violent civil war, and it will be because people of YOUR ideology just can’t seem to get it through your heads that people want to control their OWN lives, and not surrender their life goals and decisions to some “elite” in Washington DC, and will fight to the death to defend that right.
