Support South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson

Posted on 09/10/2009 7:41:17 AM PDT by Syrin23

I urge everyone to contact Representative Joe Wilson's office to offer their support of his actions. The president looks into the camera and to the american people and LIES, and we're supposed to believe that Wilson is in the wrong for calling him out on it? We need MORE of this kind of response, and he should not be apologetic about it. This is the future of the US we're discussing. Civility be damned. The democrats are not constrained by truth, civility, honor, the Consitution, the law, etc. We need MORE Joe Wilson's up there fighting for the good of our country.

His web site is down, and I am SURE he is under assault from the left be it MoveOn, MediaMatters, etc. We need to be the voice of support.

This is what I could find:

To contact Joe Wilson’s office: 202.225.2452 (DC) 843.521.2530 (Beaufort, SC)

Despite whatever breach of protocol, in the end, the only one who addressed the entire Joint Session and spoke the truth was South Carolina Congressmen Joe Wilson. And he did it with just two words...YOU LIE!

...and then, afterwards, Sarah responded and took Obama to the woodshed:

In fact, after promising to “make sure that no government bureaucrat .... gets between you and the health care you need,” the President repeated his call for an Independent Medicare Advisory Council -- an unelected, largely unaccountable group of bureaucrats charged with containing Medicare costs. He did not disavow his own statement that such a group, working outside of “normal political channels,” should guide decisions regarding that “huge driver of cost ... the chronically ill and those toward the end of their lives....” He did not disavow the statements of his health care advisor, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, and continuing to pay his salary with taxpayer dollars proves a commitment to his beliefs. The President can keep making unsupported assertions, but until he directly responds to the arguments I’ve made, I’m going to call him out too. - Sarah Palin, September 9, 2009

If he felt he was right to do what he did, why did he apologize?

I can’t support a man who either cannot control himself or apologizes when he doesn’t mean it.

Already done. And thank you for posting this.

An apology is not as great a crime as the blatant lying and bullying of the Democrats.

Half the GOP side of the isle booed obama over his ‘no illegal immigrants will get this health care’ lie...why is Joe Wilson being singled out? I thought Nancy Pelosi was going to pass out she was so mad...which I loved!

The only person who told the truth last night and he has to apologize for it...

So you’re going to let Wilson get taken down for telling the truth, because you don’t like his apology - which was probably forced on him? Okay, so let’s see decent people go down, one by one, taken down by the lying Democrats. That will great consequences for this country.

..the apology killed the mo

Although strategically it may prove to be a good thing because everybody is talking about the outburst and not the man with the teleprompter...

Well, I’m going to get flamed for this, but here goes.

All the talk from the MSM today is about Wilson. He should have kept his mouth shut so that today the right could be finding all the holes in what Obama said last night. That opportunity is gone now because of what Wilson did - all the talk is on the evil, hateful right. The same thing happened with the school speech. The right should have shut-up until after the speech and nailed him on what he was really going to say before it was changed. Instead they blew another opportunity.

Is Obama a liar? YES. Does a congressman holler it during a joint session? No, he just justified everything the left has been saying about the right, and the next day when we could be blowing holes in Obamas speech the concentration is on this BS that hurts us rather than helps.

I’m tired of the GOP being of no help in this battle. Glen, Rush, Michelle and Sean can’t do it all, but they are the ones that need to be using that kind of calling out, not our Congressman, and not at a joint session. The Left Stream Media will use this for months.

“So you’re going to let Wilson get taken down for telling the truth, because you don’t like his apology - which was probably forced on him?”

You mean forced on him at gunpoint? What are you talking about? If he was right, he shouldn’t apologize, period. If he wasn’t right, he was a fool.

I sent Leader Boehner an email to express support for Wilson.

I not only expressed support for Wilson I expressed disgust for the spineless wimps who joined the chorus in condemning him. You should also contact your local representatives and let them know what a bunch of pansies the Republicans are.
