socialismislost stated that he was a long time "lurker". By reading the action on FR, you can figure out what to say when you decide to sign up. His use of terms need not be conspiratorial.

Apparently a fresh newb disrespecting me, behaving like a seasoned FR retread, and then having the audacity to tell me I should donate to FR to cover my bandwidth, when Mr. Socialist-Retread admits that he has never in fact donated to FR himself IS COMPLETELY LOST ON YOU. Like I said, you are living proof that the evo-religious bond you share with Mr. Socialist-Retread is far thicker than the bond between FRiends.

As usual, you haven’t a clue. The vast majority of environmentalists come from the ranks of your fellow evo-cretinist-Luddites over at the Temple of Darwin.

R_A seems to be having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that he’s acting in the capacity of a partisan on behalf of the Temple of Darwin.

While it is certainly true that people on either side of any debate will resort to poor arguments, here is just one concrete example of a prediction that the TofE makes that can be TESTED:

According to evolutionary theory, the many life forms we see today arose from older life forms, and ultimately share a common ancestor. A basic prediction of this is that you should see a progression of life forms over time, where NEWER species appear and OLDER species disappear. Another consequence of that is then you SHOULD NOT FIND "fossil anachronisms", ie, a fossil bunny rabbit with a fossil triobyte, or some such.

Now, if the world were created all at once, with all the species at once, then on the average, the fossil record should contain equal percentages of all species for a given area, virtually all the time. There is no "creationist" explanation of the layering of fossils that is routinely observed. In fact, the story of Noah and the flood should INSURE a good, big layer of sediment with EVERYTHING in it.

Now, you think that the TofE is wrong, fine. You can easily disprove it by finding lots of mixed fossils of Dinos and People and Sabre Tooth Tigers and Trilobytes ALL IN THE SAME LAYER. Where are they? They should be just about EVERYWHERE, and in reasonably equal distribution.

But they are not.

Here is the exact quote from Mr. Socialist-Retread I was drawing attention to. And let me tell you, it’s a real compliment!:

“To be quite frank, you are giving Christians, and religion in general, a bad name here with your non-arguments. Thats why I still feel you must be joking around in a sick sort of way.”

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2325829/posts?page=55#55

Do you always go out of your way to misrepresent your fellow FReepers on behalf of the Temple of Darwin?

The guy is a buffoon. Doesn’t he know that the earth has undergone many quick reversals of its magnetic field! To put a linear fit on something using one point is the utmost in hypocrisy.

I am acting on behalf of those who think rationally. BTW, you never answered me on the question of whether or not I can tell YOU to "buzz off" because I have been here longer. How come?

If you want to tell someone else to "buzz off" based on senority, then you MUST answer "yes".

If you tell me that I do not have that right, then you are claiming for yourself a right you will not cede to others, and that sir, is elitism.

If you want, you can always take your route of "I was half kidding..."

No, there's not, and its called hydrologic sorting.

Errr, oops.

“In fact, the story of Noah and the flood should INSURE a good, big layer of sediment with EVERYTHING in it.” [excerpt]
Um, no.

Catastrophic floods are known to cause layering. (and phenomenally accelerated erosion)

When a non-Christian labels a Christian as a *bad* Christian, it's virtually always based on some personal preference, not on any actual comparison to Scripture.

Actually, it is based mostly on the vile behavior some 'Christians' display here.

Your link was YOUR reply to the post I quoted. If you wanted to draw attention to some other post, post a link to THAT.

Now, having said that, I still fail to see socialismislost's huge insult here. He is stating, without hyperbole, that he frankly thinks your typical non-responsive posts are giving a bad impression for Christians in general. He then postulates that perhaps you have some deeper, darkly humorous motive.

Again, no name calling. No foul language.

I will be a bit more plain, and say that your posting behavior on this topic is obsessive. I will also agree with "Mr Socialist" as you call him, with respect to your method of non-responsive posts. Any disagreement is either tossed off with a dismissal, such as "Typical Evo Mistake", or is ignored entirely.

Why post topics on a forum if you absolutely are not interested in other people's views if they differ from yours?

I brought up the fact of his being a newb because he had the audacity to tell me I was harming Christianity (previous thread) the first time I ran into Mr. Socialist's retread-self, and then he turns around and tells me that I should donate to FR to pay for the wasted bandwidth I'm supposedly taking up, and then admits almost in the same breath that he has NEVER DONATED HIMSELF. If you can't see why I might have a problem with a newb taken that sort of tact with me (a regular contributor to FR), then I can only conclude that is because you are a fellow partisan Temple of Darwin co-religionist of Mr. Socialist-Retread.

I could accuse you of many offensive things without using a single offensive word. But of course you know that already. It has long since become obvious that you’re defending Mr. Socialist-Retread because you are willing to compromise your morals to excuse the bad behavior of one of your fellow evo co-religionists.

"No, there's not, and its called hydrologic sorting..."

BZZT! Wrong answer, but thanks for playing. The action of hydrologic sorting would account for EXCEPTIONS in the fossil record, NOT ITS ENTIRTY. What this means is that for a 10000 year old Earth, Dinos and Rabbits and Sabretooths and People would have been around AT THE SAME TIME, and IN GENERAL, their remains would be co-mingled. Certain areas might exhibit hydrologic sorting, BUT NOT THE WHOLE PLANET. You must account for the PREPONDERENCE of evidence with a mechanism that is ACTIVE IN ALL PLACES since the creation of the Earth. Additionally, Hydrologic sorting would treat bones and fossils of EQUAL DENSITY the same, thereby SORTING BY DENSITY, NOT SPECIES. Nope, Hydrologic sorting won't cut it.

"Catastrophic floods are known to cause layering. (and phenomenally accelerated erosion)..."

Sure, Earthly floods where water STORED UP someplace RUSHES to SOME OTHER PLACE that is lower. In the "miraculous" global flood, WATER WAS EVERYWHERE. There was no place for it to RUSH TO. The best analog would be to check out the ocean floor. It's built in LAYERS for the most part. Again, you have to account for the PREPONDERENCE of evidence, not cite something that can account for EXCEPTIONS, and expect that to be in force EVERYWHERE.

And that is an actual argument, with actual points to discuss, without name calling. The "BZZT" was meant as playful banter.

In case you have forgotten, the link below is how you entered the thread. As you can see, you had no interest in debating the issues. Like Mr. Socialist-Retread, your sole objective was to join the chorus of your fellow fanatical evo-atheist coreligionist distruptors. Tell me, R_A, do you even remember when you first sacrificed your moral character on the alter of the Temple of Darwinistic Materialism?

I've always enjoyed reading through your threads, even though I disagree with some of your positions regarding the age of the universe/earth, but everyone is entitled to their opinions, so I will avoid that argument.

By the way, this is my latest image I took on 8/24/2009 of the Eagle Nebula M16. At about 7000 light years distance from earth. The famous Hubble shot of the pillars of creation, are at the center of this image. Not quite Hubble though.

The dark pillar-like structures (center) are actually columns of cool interstellar hydrogen gas and dust where new stars are forming. Although you can see the pillars in this image, you're seeing the nebula as it looked approximately 7,000 years ago.

The height of the tallest pillar is approximately 24 trillion miles high (4 light years).

This was 44-95 second exposures at ISO-800, aligned, calibrated and combined, taken from my small backyard observatory.

I was actually quite pleased with this shot, and surprised the data processed out as well as it did.

"...I can only conclude that is because you are a fellow partisan Temple of Darwin co-religionist of Mr. Socialist-Retread..."

Your keen powers of deduction are nothing short of breathtaking.

"I brought up the fact of his being a newb because he had the audacity to tell me..."

My, my. If an "evo" uttered those words, you would no doubt take them to be arrogant. "...Who is he to tell me..." you said that earlier as well.

What you actually said was "BUZZ OFF, NEWB". Now, I don't give a royal rip whether you or socialismislost donates to FR. What does jangle my nerves is the bullying of a new member. Socialismislost suggested that you:

(a) Donate to FR
-and-
(b) Start your own site if you want Darwin 24/7, and have no interest in other points of view.

Those two suggestions are rational and sensible, and were framed in civil language. Those suggestions remain rational and sensible whether the person making them has been here 11 minutes or 11 years, and you know it. It is evidenced by the fact you REFUSE to grant me the right to tell you to "buzz off" because I have been here longer than you.

Claims of superior argument cannot be made by the time spent here, or the amount of money given. If that were the case, Mr. Robinson could simply assign a "Rock-Scissors-Paper" rating for each member, based on donations or time, and those arguments would always be posted over those of poorer members, or those not here as long.

Again the central point remains: Why post this over and over if you are not interested in discourse, only affirmation?

“Nope, Hydrologic sorting won't cut it.” [excerpt]
No, hydrologic sorting as defined by Rebel_Ace won't cut it.

Of course, its been my experience that Evolutionists will redefine into impossibility anything they disagree with.

“In the "miraculous" global flood, WATER WAS EVERYWHERE. There was no place for it to RUSH TO.” [excerpt]
Are you denying the existence of ocean currents?

And you appear to be forgetting, those floodwaters receded when the mountains rose up. (thats someplace to rush from/to)

“And that is an actual argument, with actual points to discuss, without name calling.” [excerpt]
Excellent!

And now for your next trick, do a repeatable demonstration of your points ;-)

All of them.
