The death of Sen. Edward Kennedy quickly became a rallying cry for Congress to pass health care overhaul legislation.

“Win one for the Swimmer!”
ouch,that will leave a mark.
Attempts to capitalize politically on someone’s death should be rejected as crass, undignified, demeaning, and fundamentally unfair to the those who are the actual stakeholders.
.........and to be buried in Arlington National Cemetary.
Boy, didn’t see that one coming. They only wished he would have kicked off a month ago to save their health care bill.
What this really should be a call for is the reformation of our drunk driving and involuntary manslaughter laws. Not allow the rich and priviledged to get away with such things. I could support that.
Wow, didn’t see this coming. /sarc
"Never let a good crises go to waste (or a dead body either)"
I’ll drink to that.
Arlington?
After how he smeared our troops???????????????????
Kennedy smears President Bush and our troops on the US Senate floor:
He described the Iraq war as a fraud made up in Texas as part of political strategy accused the President of the US of telling lie, after lie, after lie, in order to go to war in Iraq.
Sen. Edward Kennedy Smears the Nation
On March 19, 2004, President Bush asked: Who would prefer that Saddams torture chambers still be open? Shamefully, we now learn that Saddams torture chambers reopened under new management U.S. management.
A speech on the Senate floor, May 10, 2004.
I thought they would have at least waited for later on today. Less than three hours is all it took Pelosi...wow.
I agree with you on all the outrageous anti-American, treasonous activities that Ted Kennedy did throughout his lifetime. And yet, rarely did the cowardly REPUKEs in Washington or the RNC do anything to rise up and squash this bastard traitor. In fact doofus GW Bush called him one of the most “able” senator’s in Washington and had him over for movies & barbecues, and the next day (or whenever) Ted Kennedy would be on TV bashing GW Bush. What an idiot (both of them). Ted Kennedy wrote the No Child Left Behind debacle and the Prescription Drug debacle for GW Bush, and then GW Bush got blamed for the bloated costs & bureaucratic snafus. Ted Kennedy will suffer in wailing & knashing of teeth throughout eternity, but GW Bush & the Repubs certainly enabled the treasonous actions of Ted Kennedy.
Rush predicted this a long time ago. All he has to do is say something just ridiculous, and the Dems will soon try to do it.
And EVERY time this comes up we must remind them that under this bill Kennedy would never have received the specialized treatment he did, and would have departed this life much sooner. Make it a mantra, don’t let up on it.
Who is surprised at this?????
The death of a "icon" vote.
2009-1969=40
I may be way unchristian about this but...
there’s not a damn thing I feel bad about this
murdering, aristocratic, pompous POS finally
getting the F-— out of the USA picture.
The fact that they intend to plant him at Arlington
just tells me that flowers will never grow naturally
at his well deserved hole in the ground.
The inevitable CNN at every gate really ticks me off. Silence would be a vast improvement. Who decided that people can’t wait for a plane without CNN? Maybe Weather Channel’s relevance to flying I could understand. But the assumption is that people can’t figure out how to occupy themselves for a half hour without cable nooz. I HATE IT! Remember reading? Crosswords? Praying? Napping? Knitting? Thanks, I feel better now.
“So, let me get this straight...”
Yeah, you got it straight......
