The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14. These figures mark the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President. The previous low of -12 was reached on July 30 (see trends).
Prior to today, the number who Strongly Approved of the President’s performance had never fallen below 29%. Some of the decline has come from within the President’s own party. Just 49% of Democrats offer such a positive assessment of the President at this time.
At the other end of the spectrum, today’s total for Strongly Disapprove matches the highest level yet recorded. The 41% mark was reached just once before and that came one week ago today. Seventy percent (70%) of Republicans now Strongly Disapprove along with 49% of those not affiliated with either major party.

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates also available on Twitter and Facebook.
Overall, 48% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) now disapprove.

Once this number is talked about in next week's news cycle, he's sure to go down a couple more notches, as will obamacare. The people don't want socialized health care - yet they are determined to force it upon us. At least when America rejected Hillarycare, that was the end of it.

Expect the numbers to retreat a little from this new low, but I'm thinking the upcoming week will continue to see his unpopularity index in the double digits.
As I've said before, a key indicator is that his approval is lukewarm (out of 48% approve, only 27% strongly approves) while his opposition is increasingly hot (out of 51% disapproves, 41% are strong disapproves)

I don't think there IS another way! It's already "us" against "them"! Zero has fostered this attitude since he came into the spotlight. His speech at the 2004 convention made him "The One" liberals needed to advance their goals. He has not hidden his end game. He's only hidden himself.
I am glad we have Sarah Palin on our side now. She is posting opinion pieces, WITH FACTS, on a website, and the world is beating a path to her feet. The entire populace knows her, and recognizes her now that Zero has tried to belittle her words. But, I'm not sure we have until 2012.
I think we are in for CW2. I Know who the winners will be. I'm not planning to back down. I am ready and willing to fight for my grandchildren, and my life is not too much for them!

I think you’re right. People here cannot be deluded into thinking that the majority of the population is waking up. Half of us Americans are dedicated Socialists.
We need him to succeed. We need him to get everything he asks for. Then, when it all falls apart, many on the left will finally wake up and see that their Socialist Utopia is really a nightmare. As long as they’re denied the reality of Socialism, they’ll hang onto their delusions.
You are very right on the “Back to School” season. I was traveling all of last week and only caught a few news stories but the one that I remember the most was about the shoppers are not buying clothes as much as they are buying hand sanitizers and such.
Nothing like a pandemic to wake a few people up, or to take their minds off the other crap Dumbo is getting ready to engage in another round of force feeding.

The dems have talked about the "nuclear" option, to ram this through.
They've talked about a one term presidency, just to get this through.
Maybe this goes BEYOND Obamas NPD.
Maybe, just maybe, this is a special tactic. They DON'T CARE what the people want. They will push this through come what may. And THEY WANT come what may. IF the people truely become upset enough, then mass revolts will start to take place. At which point martial law CAN be imposed, thereby delaying or eliminating the 2010 election.
Maybe government health care IS part of Zeros plan. BUT maybe its just a PART. He's called a socialist, a marxist, the Obamunist. Maybe he's pushing for his own Red October.
Obama and the democrat party are doing the impossible: Alienating the angry old farts and SSD disability crowd, who are both on Medicare.

Actually such an event would be ideal from Hussein's perspective. However, his personal survivability would be greatly in doubt. And that's where the Civilian National Security Force will come in.
I think that the actual Second Civil War, should it happen, will not be the people against Hussein, but factions within the Civilian National Security Force which will bring it about: i.e. the Northern ACORN faction vs. the Southwestern Drug Lords.

Also keep in mind those numbers are a three-day moving average. Last nights numbers must have been truly horrendous to move him from -10 to -14 in one day. And they will be averaged in to the next couple of days' numbers.
Wrong flag - you need one of a Young Pioneer and the Flag of the USSR to acurately depict Hussein - maybe more to the point - superimpose Hussein over Mao Tse-Tung holding up his little Red Book.
I generally look at the “strongly” categories as the toughest to move. Instinctively, it would seem most likely that a move into “strongly disapprove” would be pretty permanent, unless it is the moonbats temporarily disheartened, but looking anxiously for a reason to switch back. The “strongly approve” are the hardcore liberals, and even a move into the “approve” category might be encouraging. Or not....
