SNIPPET: "It is often said that ridiculing Christians and their beliefs is the last acceptable form of bigotry."
SNIPPET: "Bringing it back to the secular level, the friendships I have developed with Israeli colleagues over the past six years, and especially my trip to Israel last November, have solidified my support for the country. As if I didnt realize it before, walking through the besieged city of Sderot and seeing Hamas missiles literally stamped Made in Iran truly brought home the fact that Israels enemies are Americas enemies. We share a common radical Islamic foe that seeks our destruction. That alone is reason enough for mutual understanding and support.
I strongly suspect that the vast majority of attendees at the CUFI conference view Israel in a similar way. Or as JTAs Eric Fingerhutwho also covered the eventputs it:
I've talked to enough Christian Zionists over the past few years to believe that for the vast majority of them, their support for the Jewish state is genuinely motivated by Genesis's admonitition that God will bless those who bless the Jewish people, as well as their respect for Judaism as a foundation for Christianity or even their general beliefs about U.S. foriegn policy.
In closing, if J Steet truly has Israels best interests at heart, why on earth would it seek to alienate an estimated 70 million American evangelical Christians who are strongly inclined towards Israel during a time of great need? What is really going on here? And when will J Street issue an apology to evangelicals for its inflammatory CUFI press release?

Christian Zionists? Where do I sign up?
at your local dispensationalist church.........
;-)
All non Christians read part of the bible and say “what can Jesus do for me if...”.
All Christians who are saved by grace through faith alone and read the bible say “it is truth, God help me to be faithful and true to the Lord Jesus who saved me from all my sin.
Christians who love God and eat His word are Zionists and know that the nation of Israel will be reconciled to the Son of God, Christ Jesus, during the 7 year tribulation and all converts will live and reign with the King of the earth Jesus our Lord and Saviour for His 1000 year rule in Israel after the 7 year tribulation is accomplished.
I pray that religionists will search the Scriptures and understand how that God the Father is separating the nations and peoples of the earth by making Israel a burdensome stone, all that burden themselves with Israel God will destroy.
Zechariah 12 1The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him. 2Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. 3And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. 4In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness. 5And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God. 6In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. 7The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah. 8In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them. 9And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. 10And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. 11In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. 12And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart; 13The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart; 14All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart. Sola Scriptura.
I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
Read up on the Khazars, Nathan of Gaza, Shabtai Levi, then reflect who is pushing Zionism.
Is there something wrong with being a dispensationalist?

As a Jew I can tell you that J Street des not represent either religious Jews OR even secular Jews in the U.S. They are given millions by George Soros to foment discord among Jews and to make it appear that Jews support Obama's Jew-hating policies when they don't. A recent polls showed that even secular Jews opposed those policies by 18 percentage points.
So paying attention to J Street is like paying attention to those "Black Israelities" who stand on soapboxes in Times Square claiming they are the real Jews, and spouting Jew hatred. Don't ask for an apology...don't even bother with them at all. they won't be around a few years from now when Soros gets bored.
.......not with me, but the dominionists and preterists and the replacement theologists have a problem with us dispensationalists.....and they seem to be multiplying like flies.
There are even folks out there that are convinced that there won’t be a great falling away.....can you imagine that???
Thanks.
I couldn’t tell where you were coming from on the first post.
fish out.
Gag, not this “fake Jew” crap again.
The Ashkenazi-Jews-are-Khazar myth was debunked with DNA testing.
Genetically, the arabs are my cousins and, indeed, we share a common male ancestor circa 3,200 years ago. Gee, who could THAT guy be?
You have a link to that information?
Just type in “genetic ashkenazi jews” in google.
No particualar hit here.

Related, but not exact same issue, are the studies that show descent from Aaron by the Cohen (or more precisely by one middle-eastern man at the appropriate time) of all major groups (Ashkenazi, Sephardi,

“On the Internet, Carvin located Family Tree DNA, a small Houston firm created to answer such questions. He mailed in a sample of his DNA, gathered by swabbing the inside of his cheek, and waited. In late October, he got a call from Bennett Greenspan, president of Family Tree DNA. Not only did his Y chromosome have the cohanim markers-small genetic variations-but other markers matched with those of another man in the database, making it likely that they share a forefather within the past 250 years... Since then, other researchers have used the cohanim markers to ascertain that the Lemba, a Bantu-speaking people in Southern Africa who have traditionally claimed Jewish ancestry, do indeed have Semitic roots. And last June, Hammer published results showing that although Palestinian and Jewish men may be political foes, they are also brethren, so closely related as to be genetically indistinguishable.””
U.S. News and World Report (January 29, 2001).
From the link:
“Ashkenazim are not closely related to their Central and Eastern European neighbors or to any group outside the Middle East or Near East. Sephardim are more closely related to their neighbors than are the Ashkenazim, but the Sephardim still are much more closely related to the other two Jewish groups, the other Middle Easterners, and the Mediterraneans than they are to their western European neighbors.”
Wait, there’s more:
“Modern DNA studies on the Y chromosome of Jews worldwide have largely disproven the Khazar origin theory for the majority of Ashkenazi.
A 1999 study by Hammer et al., published in the Proceedings of the United States National Academy of Sciences compared the Y chromosomes of Ashkenazi, Roman, North African, Kurdish, Near Eastern, Yemenite, and Ethiopian Jews with non-Jewish groups from similar geographic locations. It found that “Despite their long-term residence in different countries and isolation from one another, most Jewish populations were not significantly different from one another at the genetic level... The results support the hypothesis that the paternal gene pools of Jewish communities from Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East descended from a common Middle Eastern ancestral population, and suggest that most Jewish communities have remained relatively isolated from neighboring non-Jewish communities during and after the Diaspora.”[46] According to Nicholas Wade “The results accord with Jewish history and tradition and refute theories like those holding that Jewish communities consist mostly of converts from other faiths, or that they are descended from the Khazars, a medieval Turkish tribe that adopted Judaism.”
Thank you for your answers, I am going to be reading the links you posted.
Sure.
Some anti-semite wrote a quack book “13 Tribe” 100 years ago that proposed the Khazar theory, and Stormfront and the residents of Arab-occupied Judea in the West Bank routinely cite it, even though it has no serious proponents and has been disproven by multiple different DNA studies.
I was actually a participant in one study (I am Tay Sachs positive), so I have first-hand knowledge of how silly the claim is.
