The Ashkenazi-Jews-are-Khazar myth was debunked with DNA testing.
Genetically, the arabs are my cousins and, indeed, we share a common male ancestor circa 3,200 years ago. Gee, who could THAT guy be?

I know far more about some of my forebears than you. The first part is that most Jews have no Khazar ancestry. Many have some, but despite a high rate of endogamy we have always intermarried to some degree. It has no more relevance than King David's Moabite ancestry does. (Remember Ruth the Moabite)
Nathan of Gaza backed the false messiah Shabbatai Zvi. Sabbatai Zevi was not Ashkenazi but a
Romaniote. So please do educate me.
