Trailer: ‘Creation’ — ‘You’ve Killed God, Sir’

Trailer: ‘Creation’ — ‘You’ve Killed God, Sir’

Watching the trailer it looks as if they are trying to give a human face to Darwin that seems a bit hard to imagine. The characters are glorified to the point of sticky-sweet perfection which, of course is Hollywood.

Judging strictly from the trailer, the message seems to be that Darwin's "science" was perfect knowledge and religion is finally unmasked as the true heresy... more of the same but with a pretty bow on top.

The foregone conclusion follows mainstream education in America: that Evolution is science fact and not science theory. All that remains is the nail in God's coffin to make it official.

'Course, you Evo's can start your hollerin' that this is only the trailer and if we misled Christians would just watch it we would understand Chucky D the way you do... We don't already know what the Hollywood spin is??? Strange we would make assumptions about Hollywood based on everything we've seen for the past few decades, but I rekon I will. Umm-Hmmm.

What would that form look like--how would we know when we found it?

Maybe that's why we haven't found it. Or have we?

Someone else suggested that apes/monkeys/humans all branched off from an earlier ancestor.

What was it?

Nobody knows.

Amazing. A second response that contained an HONEST ANSWER! Thank you.

So, it seems odd that in working with only a sample of the details, we claim to have found the ultimate answers.

You might find this interesting.

THEORY was derived from theoria, which meant a ‘vision of God’.

My, you like to call names, but don’t like to be called names.

Do tell.

Go ahead. Provide the links of all the name calling I've done on these threads.

I won’t say it because I’m not giving evos fodder to stuff me into any boxes.

You guys think that you have creationists pegged about what they believe and how they think, and it’s nothing more than a bunch of ASSumptions.

Evos know that they have nothing on which to base their categorizations of most non-evos. I’ve seen them try to cram atheists into YEC boxes, simply because the atheist expressed some reticence about accepting everything a FRevo says at face value.

You guys can just be left wondering cause I ain’t answering your questions. And the stupid, if you don’t answer means *Yes* strategy isn’t going to work either.

Easy. #199 of this thread. It was the post I replied to and used the offending phrase, but you did start it.

It’s not a big deal to me, but it is interesting that you go all ballistic when your childish games are played back at you.

Grow up, and/or toughen up.

Thanks, I’ll check it out.

I also have some tracts by Dr. Benjamin Rush, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, the first U.S. Treasurer, and wrote the first Chemistry book for our public schools.

But most importantly,he wrote a tract titled, “Why the Bible must be taught in our public schools.”

Evidence like the overwhelming evidence that the majority of parents want their children taught that science is not without intelligence and design?

Just as I expected.....

crickets

“You guys can just be left wondering cause I ain’t answering your questions.”

If you are intellectually honest about your Biblical beliefs, you’ll at least admit you think folks that don’t believe what you do are probably going to hell.

It’s ok to say so, afterall, it’s consistent with a literal interpretation of the Old Testament, isn’t it? Or do you not believe that the word of God should be literally interpreted?

By the way, I find it mildly amusing that on the very post after the one where you self-righteously deny calling names you tell folks they are asses.

This is great stuff.

Are those who believe in Evolution going to hell?

I’ll answer your question.

What the Bible is clear about is that without a belief, acceptance and faith in Jesus Christ, no man will see God. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father but by me.”

As for evolution, I have no idea whether you have a true faith in Jesus or not based on your belief about Creation. What I do know is that you cannot truly believe in both Evolution and that the Old Testament is true. I can see where you could be confused about the way the Earth was formed and the creatures of the Earth were made and still believe in Jesus and be saved. But honestly, that’s God’s job to judge and is above my pay grade.

Do I believe most evolutionists are going to hell? I believe the Bible is literal and that anyone who does not trust in Jesus as their Savior chooses hell themselves.

Does that make sense? I’m open for questions... course you might not like the answers.

Hey, you're the one that has this all figured out and is trying t cram people in boxes.

You tell me.

And evos criticize creationists for being to literal with the Bible when they demand that everything be literal themselves?

Keep trying.

Maybe that's why we haven't found it. Or have we?

Someone else suggested that apes/monkeys/humans all branched off from an earlier ancestor. What was it?

The two scenarios aren't mutually exclusive. Apes/monkeys/humans all branched off from an ancestor shared with other primates, probably something like a lemur or a tarsier, as far as I can see. Much later, humans branched off from the common ancestor of gorillas and chimps. (Or, gorillas and chimps branched off from the common ancestor with humans--same thing.) What do you want an intermediate between?

By the way, I didn't know that off the top of my head. Here's a pretty good page I found covering primate evolution, if you want to read more yourself.

“And evos criticize creationists for being to literal with the Bible when they demand that everything be literal themselves? “

I don’t and never have criticized literal creationists. It is an entirely consistent Biblical view. But it also has nothing to do with science.

It’s the “creation science” types that I rail against.

Come on, just admit it. You think that I, as a believer in science and evolution, am going to hell.

Be the second honest creationist on this thread.

So anyone who fits with your preconceived notion of what a creationist should be and think is *honest*?

That makes everyone who does not fit your preconceived notions about what a creationist should be and think is a liar.

And your standards for what creationists be and think is based on what again?
