What can I say? Not much, unfortunately. Leastwise, not today.

Nope...during his later years he was wining and dining a variety of fellow liberals on his yacht and speaking out against consevative issues and concerns....
He was our own, home grown, “Tokoyo Rose”.....
He was not a great man nor a patriot.....
I personally will not mourn his passing.....

I have nothing nice to say about this old socialist traitor.
I hope that he repented of his crimes before his death.

(If Roe is not overturned, no unborn child will ever be protected in law.)
Even Fox&F is running mournful muzak leading into Saint Walter segments this morning. Except that just now one of the personalities referred to Crankcase as a "news actor" before immediately correcting himself to say "news anchor".

BTW foxnews.com is my homepage and its banner headline was Cronkite's death. To clarify, it was from foxnews.com that I learned of Wally's passing.

My kids heard him just Wednesday and asked who he was. I tried to explain what how he manipulated the U.S. into defeat in Vietnam. Your post does a better job than I did.
Thanks
As for his soul and family, RIP and my condolences.

Even more than that, he was the fountainhead of biased liberal-agenda-driven journalism that has culminated in having a “President” who will go to any length to keep from making birth certificate public. The Obamanation was elected because the press were more interested in trying to paint a Downs syndrome baby as a bastard than in investigating a presidential candidate's qualifications (or lack thereof). This liberal activist journalism all traces back to “Uncle Walter”.

I don’t remember his broadcast when JFK died, but I do remember his broadcast of the moonwalk. He was an honorable journalist — in a profession that is sorely lacking today. May he rest in peace.

I wonder if they’ll drape a hammer and sickle commie flag or a white flag over his coffin?

I think I will refer back to one of the lessons my mother taught me... “If you can’t say anything good about a person don’t say anything at all”. Well that applies here.

Oh gosh vg, you don't need to thank me. I simply spoke from my heart because for years I have had the fleeting thought of getting his address and writing to him to vent my feelings about his deeply flawed and corrupt reporting that helped to frame the withdrawal from Vietnam, the shunning of our precious military (that must have broken more hearts and spirits then we will EVER know) and the reprehensible SLAUGHTER of MILLIONS as South Vietnam and then Cambodia fell.
Liberals are cowards who have caused more death and destruction than any other group in our nation.
They stem from the party that fought AGAINST civil liberties for our nation and they now are totally usurped by deeply disturbed far leftist groups whose main goal is to destroy the spirit that made this nation so wonderful.

Just as learned of Cronkite's death from foxnews.com, I learned of Tim Russert's death from FNC. Where? In my room at the Quality Inn near the LIE and BQE in Maspeth, Queens.
What was I doing in Maspeth? Getting ready to head out to Shea Stadium to attend a Mets game to which I'd won tix in a Fox&F contest.
