At a speech in Singapore on July 7, Obama adviser Laura Tyson, stressing that she was expressing a personal opinion, said the package approved in February was "a bit too small," according to a Bloomberg news report.

Exactly right.
Their whole identity and philosophy would be threatened if they indeed adopted conservative principles to end the economic pain our country is suffering.
It would possibly mean the end of liberalism forever if they adopted conservative principles to fix the economy. I’d love it and welcome it of course if they did but I am not gonna hold my breath waiting for it.
Personally I think these people are, what doctors are calling now, clinically insane. Might as well lock them up in a Psych ward.
Critical Assumption: Votes matter.
Given that the TARP and the Cap -&- Trade bills passed while the phonelines were literally jammed with constituents saying “don’t do it!” and their passage anyway; and given the [apparent] lack of headway regarding ACORN’s conduct; and given the USSC’s refusal to hear claims against Obama’s eligibility, and given that the voter intimidation charges against those thugs armed w/ clubs, I think it is perfectly reasonable to ask:
“Do votes even matter anymore?”
Voting them all out may be only enough pressure released to keep all out revolt from happening, but to truly placate the people we need to have politicians charged wint and tried for their crimes and corruption.
Example: Rep John Murtha; Crime: Treason (giving aid and comfort to the enemy); Incident: Hadatha Marines
So small, it disappeared without a trace.
[[Dems split on 2nd Stimulus Bill - 1st Stimulus “a bit too small” (seriously??)]]
What comes after a trillion? A quadrillion? Will a Quadrillion become he new ‘trillion’?
I’m goign to my bank today and take out a loan for a couple of trillion- when htye ask how I’ll pay it back, I’ll simply tell them I’ll take out another loan for a quadrillion, and that I can only ‘amke money by spending money wildly’- I wonder what sort of reply I’ll get?
Is there a Mussolini moment in our future?
Film at 11.
never underestimate the power of liberals to create a problem where none exist
Health care was NOT a problem- in a country to over 200 million, only 40 million were ininsured- of htose 40 million, 32 million were imigrants, of htose imigrants, 12+ million were ILLEGAL imigrants! so in the end, only 28 million LEGAL Americans were uninsured- but instead of simply alloting money to cover those people- we’re goign to ‘fix health care’ by making it a miserable institution for 172 million Americans who were previously very satisified with hteir current health care!
Well then, another BIGGER stimulus will do it.
And a fourth!
Hell, we'll throw in a fifth on General Principle, whether or not we need it!
How fitting.
A woman describes those who voted for Porkulus as offering a package that was "a bit too small."
Here’s how I read it....the Dems sense things getting a little testy out on the hustings...’Bammaboy’s image is starting to tarnish a little...the peons are balking on Cap N’ Tax...basically don’t believe a word they hear regarding healthcare.....things need Greasing!!!!With green cash....
The Dems only want more money to hand out to their supporters. It’s an utterly corrupt government.
They haven’t spent the money from the first stimulus bill yet, which just might be a good thing.
Too bad so sad. When are we going to start marching?
The so-called “stimulus” bill was never about stimulating the economy; it was nothing but a massive entitlement give-away to the favored “needy” groups. So I don’t know why anyone is acting like they are surprised that it “didn’t work”. Either the people in Congress who voted for it are truly stupid (for thinking it would actually stimulate the economy) or they are truly evil, knowing all along that it wasn’t going to do anything for the economy, and cynically proclaiming later on that “It’s not working”.
However, one outcome is for sure: another big increase in federal borrowing, with the attendant inflation necessary to allow repayment with inflated dollars, rather than repayment via politically infeasible tax rate increases.
Actually, the best stimulus that could have been enacted would have been a suspension on the collection of FICA. Many people in lower-income jobs don’t pay income taxes - at all. But they still have to pay into FICA - as does their employer.
Even Keynes warmed to this idea in the 40’s.
But we have to admit right now that most stimulus plans that put money into people’s hands won’t be going back into the economy quickly. People are going to use tax cuts/rebates to a) pay down debt, b) save. Which, in itself, is good, but it is not all that economically stimulative.
Good points in your post! I think bammy’s floor of approval is about 25 - 30% hard core zombies, obats, as we call ‘em...it'll sure be nice to see him tumble down there - then, what can bring him back? And this with the fawning, drooling, idiot press - the enemedia.
There should be better days ahead if we keep our hand to the til, and fight this battle.
The demoRATs and especially 0booooooooomba & his fellow commies & fascists at the WH, don't know what they believe, other than to continue their assult of tax-tax-tax and spend-spend-spend. Whether any of the boondoggle programs or bureaucratic nightmares actually work or not is of no consequence to the socialist bastards. If we cannot throw out this whole band of traitors in 2010 and impeach or throw out 0booooooomba for treason & lying as to his citizenship, our country will cease to exist after 2010. Actually I kind of wish that conservatives would get our own 1/2 of the country and let the libtards fail in their own socialist-fascist debacle.
