By any rational standard, the Uighurs are oppressed by the Chinese government and are victims of Chinese imperialism and attempts to wipe out their culture, language and autonomy. If they don't deserve independence, or at least autonomy, I don't know who does.

So when...lets say...Buddhists take over the USA and supress your religion and your way of living...to what country will you move then?
You need to get away from reading books and get to know a few Muslims. Arabs, Iranians, Malays, Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Turks, etc. They're not orcs and they don't have horns. And every one of them is distinctive by race and nationality rather than religion. A lot like Christians are.

They are muslims so they all have to be evil.
That way of thinking is somewhat dumb and sick and exactly that what brought the world so much wars and pain to innocent people.
One has to come to terms with reality, Chinese citizens have the right to travel n settle wherever they want in China. The way the government helps the Han Chinese do this, might not be admirable, but because it happens to muslims, and weakens them; I’m perfectly happy to write these muslims off, I wouldn’t loose any sleep over it. Chinese laws may be bad, but sharia is worse imho.
Also, many of them were caught working for Osama.
Try speaking in the reality of what is happening across the world.
