Regulation: Ignoring the first rule of holes, a bankrupt state passing out IOUs welcomes an EPA waiver allowing it to further kill its economy. Too bad the state can't stop the air pollution imported from a growing China. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Tuesday granted California its long-standing request denied by the Bush administration for a waiver to allow it to impose even more stringent air pollution rules than currently required by the federal government. The way is now clear for implementation of a 2002 state law requiring new cars to increase their fuel economy 40% by 2016. At least a dozen other states are champing at the bit to follow California's lead.

All my life, I’ve heard if you keep digging long enough you will reach...?
China. That’s where all my investment money is going now. Actually, it’s China, India and a few other countries.
you got that soooooo right and I think it was all planned.
You got that right. I am livid.
I hum that tune every FDIC Friday!
She’s got the look! She’s got the look! She’s got the LIBERAL look!
The Asian Brown Cloud. Has been there for at least a decade and it is HUGE. Global Warming liars never mention it.

Such a cavalier attitude about one of OUR 50 states. Last I checked, California was still a part of MY country.
It matters not that I was born and raised there. I feel the same way about every inch of ground of these United States of America.
I'm never going to concede shit to the damn liberals and other enemies on MY country.
NO. THEY CANNOT HAVE IT. It was bought and paid for with the blood, sweat, tears, and lives of American patriots!
If you wouldn't miss California, then it stands to reason that you wouldn't miss the USA, either.
Screw That!
I agree 100% and I also live here.
Things just haven’t gotten bad enough for them to pull the plug on the big programs, amnesty and protections for illegals, and ridiculous impediments to a healthy business climate yet. More middle and upper class people need to flee the state before Sacramento really gets serious.
Giving their staffers a raise while state workers are being furloughed 3 or 4 days a month is just outrageous. Granted, I’ve seen hundreds of state workers in action and better than half of them are unnecessary and better than half of them are also lazier that a three-toed sloth, but to furlough them while giving raises to their own shop is just beyond any rational thought whatsoever.
IT IS TIME for the people in this state to rise up, peaceably converge on the capital, and put an end to this.
As I said to someone the other day, this is remarkably like an AA meeting: It’s not that I don’t “care”. The drunk, in this case, the St of CA, has to hit bottom and know that he’s hit bottom, and until that happens any effort expended is a complete waste. So the sooner it happens the better. And that’s really all there is to it.
LOL! Moonbats jumping into the big O in the ground. Appropriate.
Some dogs are just bad. California is a bad dog in my book. As presently constituted, it needs to be put down. I want to see those people defend their border and take back their outrageous repudiation of America language border and culture. I want to see them reverse the tax their way to prosperity outlook on life. I want to see this double psycho OJ @ss kissing b7tch get her comeuppance. That should just about cover it. Have a nice day.
Brilliant...a picture’s worth a thousand posts...:)
“This is what happens when the government becomes a class unto itself. It will award itself lavish benefits until someone steps up and says STOP or else.”

They count on apathy and ignorance. Once we overcome those twin maladies...their days are numbered. We will take down this albatross. Socialisms days of life in the USA are numbered...but only if we CARE enough!
Well, so do I, and I hope, every other American here does too.
It's just that I'm not willing to support severing the state from the union. We need not go that far. There is still much good in Americans across every state, including California.
As to the way the state is presently constituted, that will fall under its own weight. It's not sustainable. They're facing that exact issue at this very moment.
They've (predictably) come to the end of the socialist road, and will have to wake up and smell the coffee, if they're to survive as a political entity. They simply can't continue with the current modus operandi, and many of them know this.
California will change, whether the useful idiots out there want it to, or not. They may have checks left in their checkbook, but the bank account is empty.
California, and the Democrat-electing states of what used to be America, are dying of self-inflicted wounds.
Reality is a harsh mistress.
Adios, mo fo's.
Forgive me for not sending flowers.
