Actually I’m surprised he wouldn’t have wanted to stay alive just to be with his own children. As warped and mentally ill as he was, I think he truly loved them and wanted the best for them. Sadly, they’ll be better off with him dead. Perhaps he finally came to that realization. Sad all around. I fear for the children, going through the custody battle which is about to begin.
