The King and Queen of America went on a date in New York City tonight. Unlike other couples, Barack and Michelle Obama's night on the town cost the American taxpayer upwards of a miilion dollars.
While there is a chance Barack paid for their dinner and theater tickets, it is a certainty that taxpayers were hit up for the massive costs of a presidential movement that involved three Gulfstream jets, cargo planes to preposition Marine helicopters, presidential limousines and other motorcade vehicles, travel, hotel and per diem costs for Secret Service advance teams, background checks on the restaurant and theater employees, manning security perimeters, maintaining checkpoints and conducting counter-terrorism and counter-espionage measures for the trip.
According to news reports this was King Obama's first visit to New York since his coronation last January. Normally, presidents will schedule at least one official act or meeting to justify a trip like this. It is pretty much unheard of for a president to joyride around the country for a night out on the the town.
But Obama fancies himself a king, and his wife a queen. It was just a few months ago when the Obama White House criticized corporate executives for flying private jets and spending corporate dollars on expensive conferences in cities like Las Vegas while their companies were being bailed out by the federal government.
Obama's government itself is being bailed out to the tune of trillions of dollars yet King Obama does not believe that he should abide by the laws he lords over others to obey.
Spendthrift hypocritical kings tend to lose their crowns. Impeachment or forced resignation could be the future of this royal couple if they carry on living like Kings and Queens on the sweaty labor of the American worker.

Why would she wear this dress coming off the plane? Didn’t they have a room somewhere so they could change? Surely he didn’t go dressed like that.

They are just showing the American people that they belong on the streets of Chicago and NOT in our Whitehouse!!!

Literally millions of Americans are out of work - many of them newly out of work since he was elected, and many almost certainly due to his policies and decisions. Yet he's living literally like a king. Way to go obama, way to connect with the people, show some of that "empathy" you want in the SCOTUS.
What is the modern version of "let them eat cake?" hmm, maybe "let them have a bailout?"

2. Lay a wreath at Ground Zero
3. Visit the firehouse which lost the most men on 9/11
4. Meet with families of victims of the 9/11 attacks
5. Visited a Veteran's hospital with a Afghanistan vet who lost both his legs
6. Dedicated a new garden near Ground Zero to remember the 67 British victims of 9/11 (digging a hole and planting a magnolia tree)
All that in one day.
Obama couldn't find time to meet with real people, with heroes, and pay his respect? Disgusting.

Wonder how soon we will hear that she throws ashtrays farther than Hillary? Kinda like a shot put contest.

Mayhap he is happy with the idea of a one term presidency. After all his handlers have four years to make the US a socialist paradise. In the meantime, why not enjoy the benefits of the office, what can anybody do about it?
