If Mitt Romney is in, I'm out!
Declaration of Independence | April 30, 2009 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/30/2009 11:50:51 AM PDT by Jim Robinson

Yeah, I know. Said some similar things about Bush in 2000. But at least he was pro-life, pro-family, etc, and thank God we supported him over the idiot All Green Gore.

Said similar things about McCain in 2008. But when asked the question "when does human life begin?," and he unabashedly stated, "At conception, of course," I had to take notice. Then when he announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, I decided to support her. I voted for Sarah (and the white haired old geezer that came along with the package).

But Romney is a NO go. And I don't care who this socialist, abortionist, homosexualist, constitution trampling bastard picks for running mate. If Romney's in I'm out!

G.O.P., R.I.P!

restornu: "Most who dislike Romney are political animals and have not knock (sic) the LDS."

Those who dislike Romney are accurate and discerning.

I do this over Bill Maher. Every time I hear him say something anti-God, I give another $5 to my church or another Christian charity. I don’t typically watch things with Maher in them, but sometimes he sneaks up on me. I call it a Maher Attack. I used to give $25 every time, but promotion for the movie Religulous just about broke me. ;)

Playing the old ‘victim card” again I see.

I would link to the numerous posts about Fred Thompson's health or age or the ones calling his wife a whore and/or a stripper, (the last from an LDS member by the way, very classy) but the Mods and JR have a distinct sense of propriety and tastefully deleted most of them..

However they are etched in the memory of true conservatives here at FreeRupublic...

this is NOT the religion forum stop dragging your arguements from one forum to another!

Sorry; but the 'argument' that you don't like dates from the 1830's...

It is the same schtick “Team Romney” has been hiding behind for years here on FR...

"Conservatives never have been really happy with him, only some when looking on balance with the other options."

Exactly!

And who here would not be thrilled Pink to have him rather than the one in the offal orifice right now?

I know. I just didn’t want you to think I was putting Alaskans down when I wasn’t. Heck, I’ve been trying to talk my wife into moving our family there, but she just likes Pennsylvania too much. Why is beyond me...

Just for that I will make it a point to stand my ground!

The ground you are on is shifting sand; sand that moves with every new Living Prophet® that appears as HEAD of the LDS church.

In conclusion let us summarize this grand key, these “Fourteen Fundamentals in Following the Prophet”, for our salvation depends on them.

1. The prophet is the only man who speaks for the Lord in everything.
2. The living prophet is more vital to us than the standard works.
3. The living prophet is more important to us than a dead prophet.
4. The prophet will never lead the church astray.
5. The prophet is not required to have any particular earthly training or credentials to speak on any subject or act on any matter at any time.
6. The prophet does not have to say “Thus Saith the Lord,” to give us scripture.
7. The prophet tells us what we need to know, not always what we want to know.
8. The prophet is not limited by men’s reasoning.
9. The prophet can receive revelation on any matter, temporal or spiritual.
10. The prophet may advise on civic matters.
11. The two groups who have the greatest difficulty in following the prophet are the proud who are learned and the proud who are rich.
12. The prophet will not necessarily be popular with the world or the worldly.
13. The prophet and his counselors make up the First Presidency—the highest quorum in the Church.
14. The prophet and the presidency—the living prophet and the First Presidency—follow them and be blessedreject them and suffer.

I testify that these fourteen fundamentals in following the living prophet are true. If we want to know how well we stand with the Lord then let us ask ourselves how well we stand with His mortal captain—how close do our lives harmonize with the Lord’s anointed—the living Prophet—President of the Church, and with the Quorum of the First Presidency.

Kiss off, resty! I have no interest in arguing with you. The video speaks for itself no matter how you and your fellow Romneyites try to spin it.

Not surprisingly, when you were shown to be wrong again (post #553) you decided to flee and hide under your rock.

SAY!!

That sounds strangely familiar!

Yeah, I was gonna say, you gotta be a masochist to watch Maher. He's about as despicable and low as they come... he almost makes the Slick Willard sycophants look respectable... naaah.

Mitt has had his sights on the White House for several years...even went to Salt Lake to get permission to run.

THAT worked out well!

Oh well; maybe THIS Living Prophet® will be able to read the tea leaves a bit more accurately.
