LOL, OK, I haven't watched Nightline in years. But after waking up from a dose of sleep after a long day's work this evening, I was suddenly confronted with Nightline. Presenting the view of "many" in the media and society concerning the current presidency of Barack Obama, after the first 100 days.
This "balanced" (my emphasis) survey of "well known personalities" (using Nightline's terms) of the American mindset included: Nancy Pelosi, Bill Mayer, Ali Wentworth, Paul Krugman, Arianna Huffington, Al Sharpton and Cokie Roberts with Jim Cramer, George Will, and Newt Gingrich barely sprinkled in to allow the word "balanced" to be used in any post show descriptions by the left.
If anyone saw this incredibly water-boarded view of the news and of the current President, feel free to comment here. I was totally disgusted, and I watch "the news" a lot.
God Help America.
That’s ok.
If you must, call it SPEWS, or MUSE, or, VIEWS, or, BLUES, STEWS, MEWS, SNOOZ, or, ZOOS, but not “news”. :^)
I loved how they only used the most hateful possible comments that Newt had.
Even Newt said elsewhere the most successful 100 days in history...
When Koppel retired, and former BBC reporter Martin Bashir joined unrestrained ABC lefties Terry Moran (from out of the WH Press Corps) and fluffmistress Cynthia McFadden from 20/20 as rotating anchors, it's been a GOP gang-bash.
I follow Moran on Twitter, and while he seems to be a very devoted and spiritual family man, his contempt for right-wingers is obvious to anyone who pays attention to the way he puts things. Still, he's not the most biased reporter who tweets; if you want a howl, follow CNN's Rick Sanchez, an moron who thinks he's a genius, ABC's Michelle Obama suckup Yunji De Nies, or the vacuous vision known as Contessa Brewer of MSNBC.
OTOH - It used to be I couldn't stand ABC's Jake Tapper, who gave biased coverage during the Fla. recount and took Moran's place in the WH Press Corps. But he's been great, asking probing questions of Obama to the point that BHO recently dodged him, and stymieing the stammering, giggling Robert Gibbs on a regular basis.
Theres a good reason that I havent watched TV for years now.

Same here. No T.V. in my house. It is all trash.
“I’ve always thought they couldn’t make a movie of his life because the only person who could possibly play him, Ted Knight, is dead.”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Knight could have just done his basic Ted Baxter character with minor modifications to make him even more stupid and it would have been Koppel but Ted Knight was far too handsome to play Koppel, he would have needed a Halloween mask.
Your summary of Nightline is as good as any I’ve read.
Koppel tilted to the Left ever so slightly but all in all, he was OK.
The crowd of Bashir (especially him!), Moran and McFadden are truly sickening.
Not only are they politically biased beyond belief but there’s a self-righteousness about all of them that prompts temporary blood pressure spikes in me.
I can’t watch it. I just can’t.
Yep, I dumped it in’97.
It vastly improved the quality of my life. In fact, I’m not the same person I was.
Bears, woods, defecate.
To those of you who might think otherwise.
My Headline for this post is Tongue in Cheek. Duh.
