WASHINGTON -- The head of homeland security said Sunday she regrets that some people took offense over a report warning that right-wing extremist groups were trying to recruit disgruntled troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
But Secretary Janet Napolitano added that "a number of groups far too numerous to mention" were targeting returning veterans to recruit them to carry out domestic terrorism attacks.
She told a cable news network the warning report that went out American law enforcement agencies was consistent with reports that were issued before.

She's absolutely right!!!!! I couldn't decide which "terrorist group" to join so..... I joined them all... VFW, Ameican Legion, Order of the Purple Heart, and the NRA.
Of course for that statement to be true, I guess one would have to assume "domestic terrorism" means you don't like taxes, or infringements on your personal freedom, but do value the medical benefits promised you and enjoy the 2nd Amendment.

TOOK OFFENSE??? Are you kidding me? That’s putting it mildly. GET OUT! RESIGN YOU NASTY MANBEAST.
he is a moron and I believe is being fed a script from Rhambo Emanuel.
_______________
I agree. He is the one running the show. Rhambo is a very childish, evil, dangerous little ballerina.
he words were chosen very deliberately, and she definitely views veterans as a problem
_____________
Barry the Marxist Kenyan views ALL military as a threat to him and his administration. He is well aware of the fact the probably less than 20% would stand by him. The other 80% would like so see him drop off the face of the earth and never come back.
Nice graphic but I don’t remember it. Guess that explains why the URL is dead.
Thanks
Got nasty pop-ups either from Freep or Fox just now, from some scam saying I had the conflickr worm...

I know one.
FRee Republic.
Fellow FReepers, I can almost guarantee that every one of us is on a list. Probably left over then revised from the Clinton Administration. They hated us.
“Veterans are Targets of Right-Wing Extremist Recruiters”
Oh, so now they’re brainless idiots prone to manipulation?

Based on “our leaders” statements, it is clear that military service should be avoided if one does not want to be considered a terrorist suspect.
We have an all volunteer military, so they should all resign as quickly as possible to improve their standing with Obama and Napolitano. Perhaps then Obama can put together a military made up exclusively of people who are trustworthy national socialists, in the Obama image. Perhaps he would like to start with a core group, and call it the Gestapo.
Maybe she could at least tell us what right wing extremest group Timothy McVeigh was part of other than Clinton trying to blame it on Rush Limbaugh.
The number of “right wing” (whatever the hell that means) groups who are dangerous potential terrorists is....?
Sounds as though you’re making the assumption that there are some.
LOL! I want one.
I'd like to know who a few of them are. And she shouldn't mind sounding a warning, right?
She needs fixing.
Why would you assume there are none?
We don't see the research behind the report, just the result of the research. That's where you'll find the who, what, when and where.
The Ruby Ridge debacle occurred in 1992, when Bush41 was still president, so you can't blame that one on Janet "CS" Reno.
