Napolitano: Veterans are Targets of Right-Wing Extremist Recruiters Homeland security chief says report could have been written differently, but imperative was to release details on right-wing extremists.

Sunday, April 19, 2009

WASHINGTON -- The head of homeland security said Sunday she regrets that some people took offense over a report warning that right-wing extremist groups were trying to recruit disgruntled troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

But Secretary Janet Napolitano added that "a number of groups far too numerous to mention" were targeting returning veterans to recruit them to carry out domestic terrorism attacks.

She told a cable news network the warning report that went out American law enforcement agencies was consistent with reports that were issued before.

"... far too numerous to mention ... "

Well, that's at least consistent with the report, which doesn't mention a single right-wing extremist group. Now we know why none were mentioned: too many to write down. I assume "too numerous" means at least hundreds, and adding a couple of extra pages to a nine page report would obviously make it far, far too big to transmit via the Internet to the various U.S. law enforcement agencies.

Why, there's probably at least one of these numerous right-wing terrorist groups running around in my little burg in Colorado, and we don' even know it. I really hope Janet (dammit!) will release the list of groups, so in case I get approached by one on the list, I'll know to reject their offer.

As it is, I've already been approached by at least a dozen mysterious groups and I'm having a tough time figuring out which ones not to join. If I had some guidance from DHS, it would shore help out a whole bunch! Why, I might even be saved from accidentally turning into a right-wing extremist terrorist without even knowing it!

[Seriously though, the most disturbing aspect of this report is the indication of the intellectual capabilities of the folks who wrote this nonsense, as well as their focus on priorities. Firstly, I'd say these people are stupid and ignorant, since the report could have be written better by a 5th grader.

Secondly, the report is utterly useless in terms of actually catching some bad guys.

And finally, it looks like DHS energies are focused on promoting their ideology rather than actually protecting us from our actual enemies. Not pseudo enemies, but actual ones. You know, folks like Al Quida, the ones that blew up the World Trade Center and murdered 5,000 of our citizens?

Unfortunately, with people like Janet and her ilk guarding us, there's going to be some bad stuff happen in this country before Obama is thrown out in 2012.]

study, http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/pub/press/vpj.pr reported that adult male veterans had an incarceration less than half that of adult male non-veterans.* When one throws in the further qualifier of “honorably discharged veterans”, the contrast increases, and a 2005 study suggests the gap may be widening yet further. So, dear gentle ladies, The bottom line for you is this: If that man beside you is not an honorably discharged veteran, he is two and a half times more likely to be a dope-dealing, bank-robbing, child-abusing, murdering rapist. Not to mention a terrorist. Let caution be your guide.

good find...great conclusion.

Hmmm. To "carry out domestic terrorism attacks".

Groups "far to numerous to mention".

I call BS.

The Secretary should be forced to provide the evidence. Name Names.

It's a total and complete lie.

The greatest danger to this nation is the administration with which she has chosen to align herself.

She should shut up and resign. She is way, way out of her depth in this job, and her politics have so badly marred her judgment that she can never recover.

It’s time to take back the country.

But Secretary Janet Napolitano added that "a number of groups far too numerous to mention"...

Translation: We have no actual evidence.

Basically she’s saying that left-wing sissy punks would never be recruited for a hosty of reasons, too many to count. I mean, everyone knows that lefties probably don’t know how to use a weapon, and if they had one, wouldn’t have the balls to use it, and are over all; weak. There.

Current heroes of Homeland Security (rebuilding America with "Man-Made Disasters")

Previously, called "terrorists" who murdered Americans (3000 per hour) in an ATROCITY,
quite deserving of Infinite Justice.

The groups she cites are so “numerous to mention,” she can’t even cite a SINGLE GROUP!

You’re right. She was a freaking Rocky Horror Picture Show down here. It didn’t surprise me either that King Obo would pick her to lead his gestapo.
