It is with out a doubt that a majority of Americans believe In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth Genesis 1:1. Unfortunately, most who believe these words cannot answer the questions raised by the thousands of fossils that archeologist's have dug up and claim are millions of years old. ...

>>How many times do you get to hit the Lotto on those kinds of odds, without some divine interaction?
I.D. has an allure, since it bridges some difficult philosophical divides. But is has no place in science since it can’t be applied nor used.
Just keep ID in its philosophical, theological realm and all is OK. It is when people try to put it into science that there are problems.
And lets not forget about rats and pigs. There is good reason we use those in lab research.
I’ve read that we have more DNA in common with a dolphin than a monkey, but a snake?? Can you cite some proof of that?
>>Excuse me but the rest of the world is a Joke! Why would we care what they think?
When India is the center of gravity for life science, you may re-ask your question.
>>Since when does truth get trumped by emotions over what people think.
Get a grip of your logic. <<
Get a grip on your emotions. And I am ready for you to tell me where I am wrong — logically.
>> You are wrong. The idea of a 6,000 year old earth cuts a swath across all life sciences. If accepted, it will eliminate the scientific research in all the Life Sciences in the US.
There is a distinct difference between non-acceptance of the theory of evolution, and supporting the 6,000-year-old earth theory.
>> We are already falling far behind (and are becoming the laughingstock of the world) from our conflating theology and science. If your country isnt respected in a scientific area, then you wont be either.
I thought we were talking about actual scientific talent, not winning the “respect” of other countries. There are many countries who are openly hostile to Christianity, and any ideas supporting Christian theology, regardless of the voracity of those ideas.
The goals of science are (or should be) fact, sometimes profit, and, on occasion, truth — but certainly not “respect”.
>> If the trend continues, the USA will have no standing in world science.
“Standing” may be overrated.

Move on folks. When you get a falsehood this early in a post there is no point in wasting your time with the rest of it.
Just go a head and spoil the fun. I was reading toward the tooth-fairy and how many believed in him as well, or is that a her???
So, anything other than absolute belief in random evolution has no place? That makes you more of a fanatical religious nut than me.
I’m still wondering why apes stopped evolving as soon as humanity took off. It’s been 4 million years. Shouldn’t we have some half-ape species out there?
Sadly not many. As I wrote in my article 20% to 40% believe in Theistic evolution. We need to educate them that there are advancements in studies that prove these methods by evolutionary teachers are not accurate.
Now you have stepped in it. !!! LOL
We can even “grow” a new heart, liver kidney etc. for humans in lab, based on the protein structures of pigs which are very simular, and compatable with ours.
what is done is all traces of DNA is “washed” from the protein structure of a pigs heart. These simple proteins are like the building blocks of organic life, once stripped, human blood and t-cells are re introduced to the structure, and it eventually grows new human tissue from the information within human t cells in the blood onto this structure.
Lets see, are you saying BS is profane? If so that in and of it's self is BS.
That has nothing to do with "evolution". That is adaptability, which is information already contained but dormant until needed.
what does it mean?
I’m sure that all mammals share a lot of common DNA.
I think we use pigs for this because they mature quickly and grow human-sized organs. Apes live a lifespan that’s almost the same as humans, so if we were going to grow human heart valves in a monkey, you would die while waiting for your spare part to mature.
More whoppers to follow!!
You'll be waiting a long for an apology. I've proved you proof of my OP. Whether you wish to pursue it is not my problem.
>>So, anything other than absolute belief in random evolution has no place? That makes you more of a fanatical religious nut than me.
TToE is not a random process. But is it naturalistic. If you know a non-naturalistic process that can be scientifically applied, I am ready to see your published report.
>>Im still wondering why apes stopped evolving as soon as humanity took off. Its been 4 million years. Shouldnt we have some half-ape species out there?
And your training and degrees in anthropology lead to this conclusion how? TToE explains this phenomenon quite well.
Glad you know Hebrew, but I’ll stick with the priest. I know him, I don’t know you......
the point wasn’t the use of the acronym, it was the whole thing, the way he jumped on this thread with cries of “BS” and his own completely unsupported assertions, in parentheses as if it was something he actually knew.
in that context, and in the context of the issues of God that this is about, it was profane, in my view.
