I am quite certain that this is not the protocol, and is most unbecoming a President of the United States.

I felt physically sick viewing this picture, but the sickness in my heart was much, much worse.

I can not help but think of Joshua Chamberlain’s speech for the movie ‘Gettysburg’:

“This is a different kind of army. If you look back at history you will see men fighting for pay, for women, for some other kind of loot. They fight for land, power, cause a king tells them or just because they light killing. We are here for something new, this has not happened much in the history of the war. We are a man out to set other men free. America should be free ground, all of it, not divided be a line between slave state and free, all the way. From here to the Pacific Ocean, no man has to bow, no man born to royalty. Here we judge you on what you do, not who your father was. I am sorry Colonel Chamberlain for the squandering of your scarificies and that of so many who have given their all to keep us free. We have traded all you and your brothers fought and died to give us for the empty promise of ‘hope and change’ and we are now all lower than the lowest peasent who was trod under Stalin’s boots, my heart weeps for the lost of the America that was and for the America I leave to my great children.

Yes, we can’t tell what he’s doing from a still photograph. He could be bent over laughing — it does look like someone’s just told a joke, judging from the expressions on others’ faces.

Truth is: He might not be “bowing” in reverence to anyone here. Let’s not be so quick to judge what’s going on.

I agree. Like the Bush picture holding hands, this picture is also probably being misinterpreted. As much as I detest his policies, I need more confirmation than this picture that he intended to bow.

Yest, he and his wife do not know how to properly greet the Queen of England. Wonder if they curtsied to here?

I don’t like this guy any more than the rest of you, but he is not bowing. The two Saudis are smiling, the guy to the right is also looking down, as is Sarkozy. He has dropped something or stumbled. Besides if he is bowing it is one piss poor bow. It is halfway between kneeling and bowing. If you are going to bow you keep your legs straight and bend at the waist. If you are kneeling you keep your back straight and go all the way down on one knee.

I think we are reading too much into this photo.

This disgraceful action by Obama was predicted in the book “2012 The Evolution”. The book also describes the buyouts of major corporations in America by terrorist sleeper cells which leads to the eventual takeover of our Government.

While “2012 The Evolution” is listed as fiction, frighteningly Mr. Obama, and the Congress, continually do things daily that seem to pull from this book which may eventually change its category on the bookshelves. Who would have ever thought an American President would bow to anyone - let alone an Arab leader?
