and is expected to be funded with an allocation of $6 billion over the next five years, according to the Congressional Budget Office. Wow! They can do a lot of damage with $6 billion...

I am just stunned at the number of (R)s that voted for it. Ditto. All our leadership are belong to them.

This cockamamie plan sounds like a terrific way for the Democrats to lose the youth vote. Keep an eye on facebook to see how the kids react to putting careers on hold for three years so they can run around urban neighborhoods in uniforms to terrorize Republican voters.

"The Give Act puts tow-headed school children and silver-haired seniors in the official uniform of the new State, and encompasses every walk of life in main-street America,"...
Groups of such "volunteers," would, under the legislation, be "grouped together as appropriate in campuses for operational, support, and boarding purposes." I suggest we start with all registered sex offenders. The uniform will be horizontally-striped alternating black and white. For their protection I suggest high concrete walls surrounding the campuses, topped with razor wire, and defended from outside with guards with guns.
Once we have achieved that laudable goal, I suggest a similar treatment for those registered on Free Republic. (Maybe we differently stripe their uniforms in red, white and blue.)
The constitution? It means only what we say it means, and even conservatives agree that much of this is already constitutional.

If one votes for one’s congress critter again in 2010, you are part of the problem.

This cockamamie plan sounds like a terrific way for the Democrats to lose the youth vote. You might have a point. Depends on the perks and indoctrination techniques.

All those college kids that voted for the cool guy may now be experiencing extreme buyers remorse. If this doesn't sober them up, nothing will. Who wants to put career on hold for three years to "help" a bunch of lazy American low life? This needs to get out on facebook fast before the Senate rubber stamps.

"H.R. 1388 goes straight to the heart of volunteerism in America, impacting everything from the lemonade stands of neighborhood children, to the residents of senior citizens homes.
The Give Act puts tow-headed school children and silver-haired seniors in the official uniform of the new State, and encompasses every walk of life in main-street America," the commentary said. "Whether you are young or old, or firmly believe that volunteering means you are offering your time to the good of community work, you will be pressed into Obama's National Civilian Community Corps."
Groups of such "volunteers," would, under the legislation, be "grouped together as appropriate in campuses for operational, support, and boarding purposes. The Corps campus for a unit shall be in a facility or central location established as the operational headquarters and boarding place for the unit.
There shall be a superintendent for each camp."

My money says Christian teenagers will be forced to work in abortion clinics.
These people won’t be his brownshirts, they will run these groups, this is the re-education camps/program to teach every one about how great it is to live in a fascist socialist state.

Buck up people.
If we only represent 10% of the population. And if the rest of the idiots are willing to march off behind “uncle zero”. The your ration is 10 people. The numbers are never as large as some people think they are.

Of course they’re ignorant. Congress critters don’t have time to actually read bills. That’s for the little people to do after the fact.

“This is moving way too fast to keep up.”
That’s the point.
He knows he has until 2010.
Unless the American people start spending more time and putting in more effort to fight these people then they will get everything what they want.
AND ALL OF YOU HERE WILL NOT LIKE IT!
Sure, it’s pain in the arse now but wait until it hits home in a few years. Wait until you get the bill. Wait until you realize that you are not free anymore.
Now is the time fight, FReepers!
If you wait another day, another week, it will be far too late.
Your Republican “leaders” will not save you.
You must stand up NOW!
Do whatever is in your power to do to resist their blitzkrieg!
Fight them!
Now!
