ROFL!
they also did not know about geithner or many of the other fellow travelers.
I told them look you don't like the CFR and many of the appointments are from the CFR and other organizations like them.
It just blows them away and I mean literally, you can tell they just had the wind taken from them.
Obama is bad guy for sure but, he is a salesman. A good one as well. I admire his delivery.
We have to make sure everyone knows about him so his agenda will fail but you need to educate yourself and your friends about his team.
My next project is to start looking at the items proposed and passed and see who is or was behind them and the time line.
I do. There was no other alternatives. She doesn’t drive all night and fly around the country because he is bored.
A friend and I about twenty years ago came up that one.
Here, I fixed it:

Spunky posted exact quote. It is very little different from what Orly posted.
You think people have photographic memories and can remember converstaions exactly verbatim? And jump down their throats if a couple of words were off, but the meaning is essentially the same? It is almost exactly what she said.
Some of you just want to find fault with anyone who is concerned about 0bama’s eligibility. Why not take your critical and fault finding attitudes and direct them at 0bama and his plans to destroy the country, instead of at conservatives who are trying to prevent him? Hmmm?
Nope. Just realism. I'm not an Obama supporter, and I would like nothing better than to see him removed from office. But I'm a realist and I can see there's nothing to Orly's claims. The only way to get rid of Obama is to vote him out in 2012.
If Roberts really thought this were a serious issue, he wouldn't have abruptly cut her off and placated her with a meaningless promise to "look at" her papers.
Roberts realized he was dealing with a nut and acted masterfully to shut her up without creating an incident. It reasures me that we indeed have a great Chief Justice.
Why wouldn't he? It shuts her up and costs him nothing.
That's the way to deal with nuts: placate them and get them to shut up. The last thing you want is a nut going off on a long, inflamatory tirade.
It is very little different from what Orly posted.
Correct.... A little different is all I’m saying. We don’t need anything less than the truth as it will be the most productive in the long run. The lady is trying and hard as best I can tell but she needs to stick to the facts as they happen and not what she thinks are the facts. Sorry if you don’t like that approach but I do.
I’ve jumped down no throats and if I have posted something here that is not true, feel free to point it out.
In defense of others. I don't know how old you are little jeremiah, but we were taught that you do not put quote marks around something, unless it is an exact quote. If you can't remember exactly how it was said then say it is a paraphrase.
The conversation as quoted by Orly is not materially different from the one quoted by Spunky.
You’re insinuating that she purposely misstated what was said, which is not the case, since there is very little difference, and no material difference - iow, the meaning is the same.
I have tried to remember exact conversations - even short ones like this - and it is almost impossible to remember each and every word verbatim.
Read my comment above about using your critical and fault finding skills on 0bama, not on conservatives.
I’m cutting her slack in that area since English is not her mother tongue. But you are correct, a remembered conversation that is not verbatim - even if factually correct - should not be in quotation marks.
What mischaracterization are you talking about? Mischaracterization would mean that Orly was trying to make Roberts say things he didn’t say; the only actual difference was in some of the wording, the meaning was not different.
Just adding to the thread in general. Orly wrote this up the same night. So she was without sleep for close to 12 hours and a day without food.
That is dedication.
This request in particular caught my eye.
That is dedication.
That is correct. She is going the extra mile to push the issue. That is in my opinion why she should be extra careful about what she insinuates as fact as opposed to what she recalls as the general tenor of the conversation.
Just like she wrote on her website that she flew to Tacoma, WA and drove a couple more hours to Moscow, ID. We all know that isn’t true and I don’t know if she has cleaned that up on the website or not but she should. This kind of hyperbole gets on the net and becomes fact or the basis for ridicule. That we don’t need in this case one bit.
All I’m trying to point out is facts are our friend in this case not hyperbole. I realise she doesn’t have English as her first language but that is what she is dealing with and words have meaning. More so when one is dealing in the legal arena, imo.
Take care and thanks for all you do in this regard.
>>>Just like she wrote on her website that she flew to Tacoma, WA and drove a couple more hours to Moscow, ID.
That is fixed!
You are not the only one that has pointed out our mistakes. We seem to have quite a few managers.
But, may I remind you and all that we don’t do this full time. Although it has become more than full time. We also have families. Our taxes pay the people that aren’t doing their jobs, funding the grants to the ones fighting us and most of the expense of doing this is out of pocket.
Yes, donations come in; but most of it is eaten up by Orly taking one trip. The rest is all on us.
I can promise you if we were equipped, funded and staffed, there would not be as many mistakes.
I can also promise you we would all rather be doing something else.
