In case you missed the cartoon that appeared in Newsweek magazine and other places a month ago, it showed a person near the edge of a cliff talking to an elephant that represented the Republican Party.
The person asks, If Rush Limbaugh told you to jump off this cliff would you do it?
Next frame theres the person standing alone, looking down and yelling over the cliffs edge: That was a rhetorical question!
However, that cartoon really says a lot about the state of the Republican Party today. When you have a talk-show host who speaks for the conservatives in this country, youre in a lot of trouble.
Heres another rhetorical question: Has there ever been a bigger buffoon than Rush Limbaugh?
OK, if youre a Limbaugh fan, youre probably thinking Lynn Saternow. But besides the fact that Im a lot better looking and much more humble, I would never have the audacity to challenge the President of the United States to a debate.
However, thats what the loudmouth did recently. Maybe Limbaugh was back on drugs again when he said it, but why would a president want to even acknowledge someone who bills himself as a harmless, lovable little fuzz ball.
Lovable?
The best thing about Limbaugh is that he makes the conservatives of this country look very bad. After all, a short time ago he remarked about Obama: I hope he fails.
If Obama fails, this country fails. As much as I disliked George W. Bush, I never hoped he failed. Unfortunately, he did anyhow which is why were in a huge economic mess at this time.
Recently, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanual called Limbaugh the leader of the GOP. That was a great comment.
That really stirred Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, who considers himself the leader. In fact, he said some unflattering things about Limbaugh, who then reacted by slamming Steele.
So now Limbaugh not only has Democrats bashing him, he even has some of the Republicans split. Man, politics are great.
We are facing the worst problems weve had since the Great Depression. If ever there was a time for bipartisanship to help bring this country back, its now. Im talking about Nancy Pelosi and her Democratic minions as well. This is no time for Democrats to be bragging that they won the election.
It doesnt matter who wins if the country loses.
Its even time for people like Rush Limbaugh to decide whether they want to put the best interests of their country first or if they just want to improve ratings with conservatives.
The whole nation is on the edge of the cliff and needs a lifeline. If everyone pulls together, we can climb back up and return to being the greatest country on Earth.
Or we can keep listening to buffoons and keep throwing up roadblocks to keep that from happening.

“It doesnt matter who wins if the country loses.”
The dem do not believe this.
Dear Lynn, If Obama tells you there was no recession or problem with the Stock Market, don't you believe him?
Good grief!
"However, that cartoon really says a lot about the state of the Republican Party today. When you have a talk-show host who speaks for the conservatives in this country, youre in a lot of trouble." |
My gawd....If Hussein told her to drink purple kool Aid would she do it?
Instead, I ended up with a variation of a famous Dan Akroyd line, "Lynn, you ignorant $#%&! You are confusing President Obama's inability to run this country with your inability to achieve orgasm."
I think she already has.
No fair making fun of his weight!
I'll bet there are tons of buffoons bigger than him.
Obama united the nation by being elected - so we were being led to believe by the MSM ....
Uh, I think Lynn’s a man and a man with one cute haircut.
Isn’t that dude the sports editor? Just curious :)
Like... morons who have never mastered capitalization maybe?
Those morons?
“Isnt that dude the sports editor? Just curious :)”
I guess he is a poor man’s Keith Olberdork.
Notice how their loudmouths weren’t
“dividing the country”
when they were denigrating Bush for 8 years...
But I guess “that’s different”.
If I could offer advise to Rush it would be, “Hit him harder. Hit him faster. Use your knee more. Make more jokes about our Dufus-in-Chief. Have fun. Great work.”
The Left just wants Republicans to denounce Limbaugh so they can move further to the Left and destroy conservatism some more.
I thought Obama was the unifier and he could not fail? Things were supposed to be "so right", so peachy with him in the WH.
Limbaugh is only meeting a need. If it weren't him, it would be someone else.
The need is to oppose this Marxist President and his attempt to drag us all into a Kommunist hole.
