The White House is lashing out publicly and personally at a CNBC reporter whose attack on President Barack Obama’s anti-foreclosure plan caught fire on the Internet on Thursday.
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs jumped at the chance to go after the CNBC journalist, Rick Santelli, when a question about his bracing critique was asked at Friday’s news briefing.
“I’ve watched Mr. Santelli on cable the past 24 hours or so. I’m not entirely sure where Mr. Santelli lives or in what house he lives but the American people are struggling every day to meet their mortgages, stay in their jobs, pay their bills, send their kids to school,” Gibbs said. “I think we left a few months ago the adage that if it was good for a derivatives trader that it was good for Main Street. I think the verdict is in on that,” the press secretary said, poking directly at the cable journalist, who reports from the trading floor at the Chicago Board of Trade.
Gibbs insisted Santelli was misinformed when he said Obama’s program would amount to a transfer of money from prudent taxpayers to those who had taken reckless risks.

The war on investors intensifies. The rats have barely begun on their war on investors. Card check, nationalized health care, minimum wage, and CO2 regulations will soon be unleashed. The rats will attempt to divide the opposition by throwing money at certain groups. The overall message is clear. Unfortunately for the rats, investors as a whole cannot be coerced. Investment drives employment over the long run so the rats dream of high employment will turn into a nightmare.

You got that right, maybe the biggest failure of the whole 8 years.
This is one issue where 0bama hasn’t done the math. The percentage of Americans who are current in their mortgage and make their payments on time is considerably more than the percentage of “troubled” mortgages.
I was talking to Mrs. Henkster who runs the family books; we got out first mortgage in 1987. During those 21 1/2 years, we never EVER were even so much as late on a payment. My guess is that many Americans are in the same position, and the idea that they are being forced to pay their own mortgage PLUS the mortgage of others who had less financial sense is going to rub the wrong way.
“This is America. How many of you people want to pay for your neighbor’s mortgage that has an extra bathroom and can’t pay their bills? Raise their hand.”
There were boos.
“President Obama are you listening?” Santelli asked.
Santelli said, “We’re thinking about having a Chicago tea party in July. All you capitalists that want to show up to Lake Michigan, I’m going to start organizing it! We’re going to be dumping in some derivative securities, what do you think about that?”

I always liked Rick Santelli. He was, of course, correct in his statement. Not politically correct, but right none the less. Pointing out the obvious disastrous effects on something in which he lives his entire professional life in should be listened to. Not derided. Who’s got a stopwatch to time how long it takes for some leftist to send him a death threat?
You better be frightened! Rick better watch his back. I’m sure Obama’s subjects are digging up dirt on him right now.

They are a bunch of metro-sexual, girlie men, many of whom creeped us out during klinton's term. They are stupid and because of that, dangerous. But they have experience and yet remain cowardly enough that Obama was comfortable appointing them...as he can run over them with ease while using their experience of WH inner workings.
But....
what I want to know is WHY IN THE HELL was the WH wondering or asking where Rick Sanelli lives....That was really creepy!
And secondly....why in the hell is our WH attacking American citizens that express disagreement? That is SPOOKY. And Immature. And a terrible abuse and misuse of the natural WH power.

I agree completely. It is childish, petulant, small-minded, shallow and vacuous. Unfortunately, with this American public, it works.
Bush did not defend himself frequently nor forcefully enough. Obama and his henchmen won't be making that mistake. They will, at every opportunity, personalize their attacks on their critics and the MSM will be willing accomplices.
