This may be a topic for our regional FReeper conventions coming up, but how many of you would be interested in forming an official conservative FReeper PAC for raising funds to help replace Dems and RINOs and to get conservatives elected?
“If FR is to form a conservative PAC, are the powers-that-be going to decide to bail on principles and support whatever piece of crap that the republican party decides to support, or are we going to hold our ground for true conservatives?”
I did not see a response. Was there one? Is there a sense of how we would go about determining who the “real conservatives” are vs how electable they are, etc.? Count me in please in further exploration - conservatives only win when they act like conservatives and I for one am sick of the RINOs that consistently let us down when we need them the most.
Have cool hats?
Then IM IN!

“Regional Conventions?”
The one in my home state of Delaware is held in my living room.
That was fun. I scored 84% (and got the Gettysburg Address question wrong--I'm so embarrassed). You're right that the overall statistics are appalling, but it's not surprising. The liberals have been dumbing down the public schools for 40 years, and this week it paid off for them.
I’m interested in this, Jim. I feel powerless and fearful since the initiation of the porkulus bill, and would like to participate in an effective effort to start taking our country back from the fascists. It appears from some of the posts on this thread that we have some members who are knowledgeable about such activities, which is encouraging—I’m concerned about wasting our efforts if we don’t know the effective way to proceed. (I’m afraid I have no useful knowledge about it myself.) Please ping me to the right threads as this develops.
Yes, count me in!
Interested party here, sir!
Now is the time to start booting these thieves out of office!
CrappieLuck emailed me today about a get together for this PAC. He is known for getting large numbers of people together for a cause, and to raise funds.
Yes I am familiar with Boone Lake, love that area (as you know, I spent years in Greeneville).
This thread got away from me (308 posts). I’ll read on and see what Jim says and if it is a go, we’ll be in touch.
You are not too far from the South Holston tailwaters, and the trout fishing there is unequaled.
No response thus far, but it is not like Jim to ignore a reasonable question. If he's around, it is likely that my original post got inadvertantly overlooked on this busy thread.
"Count me in please in further exploration..."
I'll ping you if I receive a response and we'll go from there. I agree that we have to identify and support people true to conservative principles.
Well, yes. Sorry I didn’t make myself clear. Supporting and electing conservatives is the whole idea.
Then I would definitely support such a PAC. I have more time than extra money, but would be willing to give some of each. I’m sick to death of being abandoned by the republican party for the sake of unity with liberal ideals, almost to the point of taking up a torch and a pitchfork (both of which I have out in the garden shed). I’m in with the conservatives, wherever they happen to find themselves.
Fellow Freepers ... in every state, at the high school level and on every college campus are Young Republicans who are under assault by the libs. Here are the grass roots looking for a forum to be heard and willing to work with us. Millenials are the future of the conservative party — let’s get them involved in our Freeper PAC ideas and events and even more importantly use their communication style/technology/social networking skills which will increase our reach exponentially. That’s what Obama did. — kloppy

Chapter discussions can take place on the state FR page to begin with.
Jim just posted This Thread today.
Wow, that is great!Regional Conventions?
The one in my home state of Delaware is held in my living room.
I notice that you post on your Free Republic State Page.
How about going there and announcing when you have meetings, and put a call out for others in your state to start a Free Republic Delaware Chapter?
And a link to this thread, with a few words to exlain this idea?
Thanks Syncro but mine was a flippant remark on the scarcity of conservatives in Delaware. Ya know, home of Biden whose son will soon be our next senator.
But I thought I would run with it.
There are 59 names signed up at Free Republic from Delaware, I'm sure a few of them are still active.
I am encouraging everyone to post a notice to start a State Chapter on their Free Republic State board, it'll help the cause.
Oh, and seekthetruth spammed every state board with that notice you asked about, but he doesn't communicate back.
Count me in, ALL IN!
