Nancy Pelosi had heard enough, thank you very much, after two enraged House Democrats rose at Tuesdays caucus meeting to bitterly denounce the Senates take-it-or-leave-it offer on the stimulus.
It wasnt because Pelosi wasnt ticked off herself quite the opposite.
At a certain point, after a couple of members had expressed themselves, she asked that future speakers not address that issue because it was reminding her how angry she was, said Rep. Anthony D. Weiner (D-N.Y.), who was in the room.
When Pelosi emerged from behind closed doors a few minutes later to address the press, she wore the broadest possible smile on her face. But her words expressed the grimmest possible resolve, as she girded for a conference committee battle on the stimulus destined to yield, at best, partial victory.
Usually you go to conference and split the difference between the two houses that may not be the case here, Pelosi said. At these conferences, my experience has been that the White House has a seat at the table that they weigh in.

The Senate passed its $830 billion stimulus bill Tuesday but it wouldnt have passed at all without the support of three moderate Republicans and a conservative Democrat who helped the Democratic majority obtain the 60 votes necessary to stop a filibuster.
Majority Leader Harry Reids solution has created its own set of problems for the speaker. Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine), Olympia Snowe (R-Maine), Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) and Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) all have publicly insisted that the measure emerge more or less unchanged...

IMPORTANT
Be sure to add your name and town and email - or they wont read them.
When emailing. they wont read mass emails so put just one email add in the to line then click on BBC at the end of that line. a BCC line will open just above subject line. copy paste the rest of the addresses in there and each recipient will see ONLY their name
It matters because if we can prevent even RINOs from voting for this turkey, the dims can't claim bipartisanship. Then whatever happens is 110% Obama, Pelosi, Reid, et al. fault, and I can't think of any better justice.
btt
Worse yet, its really a democrat payback spending orgy at taxpayers expense wrapped in the stinking fishpaper called the Stimulus BIll.
He's so full of $hit and loving the limelight that someone needs to remind him that he'll soon join the infamous crowd of failures and cursed names for selling out the people for a pat on the head from the OBamination. His name is now down there with those such as Judas Iscariot, Hitler, Nero, etc.
He literally got caught up in the Obama frenzy. Seems even our politicians aren’t immune to it.
I'm dreaming of mobs of people raising the heads of state on pikes.
Don't forget to mention “THE CHILDREN” ...and the burden they are placing on them..
