Obama Remarks on Economic Stimulus Plan (Live)
Fox News

Posted on 02/05/2009 5:33:42 PM PST by KJC1

Live on Fox News now.

He started out with lame jokes about how this appearance gave him an excuse to use Air Force One, and something about someone teaching profanity to underprivileged children.

And more blather.

Just thought I'd start a thread on this live appearance.

“....every day it becomes more evident he is in way over his head”

Agreed. I’ve always felt that this guy is WAY over his head. He has his left wing vision and that tired old America must retreat mentality globally but it will only encourage the enemies of our nation.

China, Russia, Iran, etc. are all operating with the decades approach while this guy is operating on the shortest cycle of time. Beg now and let’s be pals.

We are going to have more trouble ahead around the globe than any one bargained for. I’m afraid that in less than six months, people will be saying, oh how I miss President Bush.

The clarity will not be there. And trouble will rear its head.

That is what we're seeing, isn't it? Rove is right, he's "winging it". The man is in over his head.

Yes. This guy is a petulent, arrogant fool.

Yes. This guy is a petulent, arrogant fool.

I believe the technical term for that would be "ass-tard."

CNN pundits are saying this will kill any chances of GOP support. Extremely partisan speech. Personalizing debate. And this from CNN!

Like I said, this guy obviously has NO leaderhip talent at all, and I would say that he is in for a very difficult presidency (as are, unfortunately, We The People).

the media comment is correct....i think the media can't ignore bizarre crap like tonight

I think it might be helpful if he made an appearance on the Dr. Phil show.

Bizarre is a very good word for what we saw.

Coked up? Wanting a smoke? If he was buzzed, then he's definitely a mean drunk.

Captain Queeg: Mr. Maryk, you may tell the crew for me that there are four ways of doing things aboard my ship: The right way, the wrong way, the Navy way, and my way. They do things my way, and we’ll get along.

Ahh, but the strawberries that’s... that’s where I had them. They laughed at me and made jokes but I proved beyond the shadow of a doubt and with... geometric logic... that a duplicate key to the wardroom icebox DID exist, and I’d have produced that key if they hadn’t of pulled the Caine out of action. I, I, I know now they were only trying to protect some fellow officers...

“He needed to hear clapping and gathered a group of yay-sayers for a personal pep rally. He addressed them exclusively, never once looking straight into the camera which represented the rest of America; I found that odd.”

I noticed that too, it WAS odd and telling... He was trying to hide how he really felt, a salesman trying to sell a lie.

No one can prove that a job was "saved". His buddies in the DBM will use any number of "saved" jobs that O wants.

Yes, you catch Obama playing word games.

At this rate, his approval rating in year four should be a whopping 2%

I can't stop smiling with that great thought. He is sure on his way.

Fox is reporting 75% against the Obama Pork Package.

of course this am the blond dejour lady on fox and friends is carrying water for Obama. (her wishy washy wimpering just screams obama voter)

This is a 150 mile air force one joy ride there and back is about a power stuggle.

Remember peolosi had a hissy fit over her “little” personal jet. Obama was sending a message to Pelosi and Reid.

(BTW 50 million dollars to enance the San Francisco water front....who is from san fransisco?...)

75% against means obama’s support was NEVER deep. Obama’s mandate espoused by the media is goin like a cheep illusion trick.

I’m with you on that. Either he’s not listening to his advisers (who might be encouraging him to be more positive and conciliatory toward the GOP) or his advisers are planning this doom or gloom/threat of disaster strategy. It’s scaring the people, not reassuring them.

We need to hear “morning in America” type speeches, but we’re getting partisan threats delivered with a scowl.

In order to make strides, liberals needs someone or something to demonize. Out of the gate, Obama attempted to demonize talk radio, but that looked petty and backfired. With this stimulus, he’s blaming the GOP, but that won’t work either, because most of us agree with the GOP.

If he loses this stimulus battle, which he virtually based his whole campaign on, the he will be severely damaged politically. The GOP (in consort with the Blue Dogs) will have been fortified. If the stimulus, in a highly compromised form, passes, it will be a VERY hollow victory and will send a signal to all the special interest groups earmarked in the bill that they will not and cannot be paid back.

If that happens, who knows what Obama will do. Will be become angry and bitter? Will he learn lessons quickly, as Clinton did? Will he, like Blago, decide that if he’s going to be hurt, he will take the US citizens down the tube with him? It is worrisome.

A crisis he inherited? Nonsense, this is a crisis he's partly responsible for and benefited from via sub-prime mortgages/Fannie Mae/Freddie.

Amazing leadership qualities. The man is a phony wimp. He doesn't look like a president, he doesn't sound like a president and he certainly doesn't act like one.
